Dinner on the fly

I didn't expect for the BBQ to be this good. Everything seems to be made onsite and it's not prepackaged food. There is nothing fried in this restaurant which is great. They have military discounts as well. The I had the baby back ribs and brisket with sides of potato salad and baked beans. The... read more

On our way back from the mountains of North Carolina playing golf, we had to stop at the Smokin Pig again. I had the pulled pork with beans & slaw, pork was very very moist with great sauces to go with it. My buddies had the pulled pork, one had the Brunswick stew and the other one had the beans.... We had takeout. It was wonderful! Looks like a hole in the wall, but best BBQ in town. Prices were good. Will visit again when we're back in town.

Food is always fresh and good. Our company uses the Smokin Pig for luncheons. Nest to gas station, but don't let this fool you.

If you go hear be ready for kid to wait on you, no older adults around. When you have kids waits on you they make you feel unwanted. No one was wearing a hair net as require by state law. You get small portions even the chicken quarters was small you could get a bigger portion from a grocery store.... More

I'm a local and Smoking Pig is definitely one of our go-to places. I am definitely a barbecue lover and I love this! Their cole slaw is top notch, but the banana pudding is to die for! It is rich, but not overly so. If you are looking for fine dining… look elsewhere. You might even be taken aback at... More

On our way back home to NJ we saw signs off 95 and decided to stop in. It was better then the usual stop at McDonalds. We had read the reviews and were already alerted to the fact it was attached to a gas station and it was a bit deceiving from the outside. Staff was very friendly. We sat... More

Driving north to North Carolina I've seen signs and the reviews were good so I figured I would stop. The location is in a gas station and it looks pretty sketchy but it was clean inside and so was the bathroom. My mom had the beef brisket and I had the pulled pork sandwich. Very small portions. My mom and... More

Stopped while driving north to Hilton Head and enjoyed the pulled pork so much that we stopped again on our return to Jacksonville International Airport. When we explained we were flying home, the server double wrapped the pulled pork so we could check it in our luggage. She also provided a bottle of vinegar sauce. Happily it survived a TSA... More
