We stopped at this casual eatery before visiting Fort McAllister. They have inside dining, but we chose to eat on their lovely patio overlooking Fort McAllister Marina. They had many seafood choices such as fried and grilled shrimp and fish, a few Mexican dishes and assorted sandwiches. My husband isn't a big seafood fan so he chose the fried chicken sandwich,... Beautiful location and laid back. Enjoy the outside seating after a day on the water. Food was wonderful and I really enjoy the local fish camps off the beaten path.

We have two yellow labs, Seneca(90lbs) and Daisy (75lbs) and a 15 year old so choosing a good place to eat while on the road was a challenge. We used "BringFido.com" and found this place. It was only 20 minutes down beautiful country roads and located on the marsh leading to the ocean. The waitress was great! The dogs were... More

Thanks for the review!! We actually host a "Yappy Hour" on the 3rd Wednesday each month for all our 4 legged friends on our outside Tiki Hut as a fund raiser for our local Dog Park....If you're ever in the area on a Yappy Hour night stop on by, it's a lot of fun for all. More

We are a military family, stationed at Ft. Stewart so I suppose you could call us locals to an extend. Over the course of the past three tears we've tried countless restaurants in this area including a fair share of seafood places. So far Fish Tales is our #1 spot to go. Food is fresh, cooked to perfection and reasonably... More

The place is on the river, there are many big fishing boats and day trippers docked there. The tables are all painted in (Happy) Caribbean colors, the wait staff is very attentive and helpful. The food is so good it will require another visit. I had the She crab soup....Yum Yum, grilled fish sandwich....another tasty treat. And of coarse the Hush... More

We ate at Fish Tales for lunch after visiting nearby Fort McAllister State Park. The restaurant is located along the river adjacent to a marina. Parking can be found in front of the restaurant as well as across the street. While it looked like there might be indoor seating we sat outside at a table overlooking the marina. A waitress... More

Fish Tales is located at the Fort McAllister marina in Richmond Hill. There is a huge outdoor eating area with an outdoor bar, an indoor bar an an indoor eating area that all come together to make a pretty sizable place. The outdoor and indoor eating areas over look the inter coastal water way and is beautiful all times of... More

We love this little out of the way place on the river in Richmond Hill, GA, but at lunch today, the coconut shrimp were not great. Way over breaded, and didn't taste like coconut at all. I was disappointed! We do frequent the place since we have a 2nd home not too far away. Next time I'll opt for the... More

Arrived there after 7 and ordered the fried scallops and shrimp. Plate looked delicious. Shrimps were a nice size but some scallops tasted like it was frozen food. Hush puppies were to die for. Corn on cob could have been bigger but delicious. Gnats and mosquitoes were awful. Next time, dine indoors. Service never came to refill drinks and ask... More
