We ate lunch here during our recent visit to the museum. We found it to be great food at a very reasonable price.

Dined here for lunch while touring the Mighty 8th museum. I had a small plate from the daily buffet consisting of fried chicken, cornbread dressing and green beans which came with a biscuit and a fountain drink for 8.99. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich on homemade wheat bread. Both selections were very good. The fried chicken was excellent... More

The buffet was great but I did need to spread out my tastes as I was unaccustomed to a few things on the menu . Lots of choices, and I felt brave enough to reach out due to the wonderful aroma from the kitchen. If you are unsure, ask the folks working there to describe the taste or the ingredients.... More

If you visit the Mighty 8th museum, plan on spending the day with a lunch break at Sophie's. The food is fresh cooked and inexpensive. The restaurant resembles a British Pub and is clean with a friendly staff. I had the daily buffet and there was plenty of food, although you can order from the menu as well.

My son (aged 5) and I enjoyed a pretty average meal for a decent price before going to the museum. My sandwich wrap was pretty small, but it was good. I'd go again the next time I'm going to the museum, but I wouldn't seek it out otherwise.

...if you are visiting the very worthwhile Mighty Eighth Museum. We have never had the buffet, which is reputed to be very good. Today, we had the Shepherd's Pie, and it was not very good. It was overly seasoned with thyme, and the cheddar cheese on top had an "off" taste. There only seemed to be one server, but a... More

This place is a gem! Wish they were open on the weekends! Living in Savannah , I can tell you, this woman can cook! Yes,the service is a bit slow, but then again, everything in the south is a bit on the slower side. If the "snow birds " want instant food ,let them go to McDonalds across the street! I have... More

Do not let the horrific service of this sub par restaurant deter you from the world class museum. The museum is beautiful and well done, but the restaurant attached to it consists of the worst service that I have received in years. The worst was that the staff didn't even care that they were rude and even told another customer... More

The food was average but is a good clean place to eat if you are visiting the Mighty Eighth Museum. The staff is very friendly and around lunch time it seems a lot of locals come there to eat.
