My family and I visited this Carey Hilliard's on Sunday after church. The seafood combo that I ordered was fresh and hot. I was so surprise to see the waiter fill our glasses back up before they were even empty. She treated us as if we were the only customers in the restaurant at that time. My experience here is... I end up in the Savannah area once or twice a year for business and somehow I always end up going to Carey Hilliards for lunch. Each time I have went here it has always been consistently good food. The Fried shrimp plate and a half sweet tea is my typical order and I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with... More

The service was excellent, however, the food was not. The fish, I had tilapia, was bad. The fish was spoiled and when I sent it back they replaced it with a piece that refried. The admin office said it was the dried blood that made it taste bad.

Great local seafood restaurant. The food was fresh and very tasty. It's a bit older looking on the inside, but don't let this deceive you.

frozen, greasy food with very little flavor. They have a lot to choose from but it all taste like it's cooked in the same grease.

After driving by two of these restaurants in the Savannah area, my husband and I decided to give the one closest to us a try. Anybody familiar with Shoney's knows that you walk in with high hopes and walk out feeling like everything tastes the same. Same observation here. There is nothing terrible but nothing wonderful here. If you want... More

This restaurant experience was OK. The food was good, however the service was not that friendly. Also they do not have a wide variety to me when it comes down to the seafood. I recommend this restaurant for people who just want to stop by and really get their belly full. However I would not recommend this to anyone who... More

I liked everything. The main thing that stands out is the people that work at the hotel. All of them were kind and very professional.

Carey Hilliards is okay if you like fried foods. I mean they fry everything and the seasonings are very bland. The only good dish I would suggest is the hamburger steak.
