Savannah classic

Always enjoyed coming here. Just a good, family style seafood place. Nothing fancy, but always enjoyable. The brunswich stew is always amazing and the onion rings are the best ever (light and crispy). This is also one of the only restaurants I'll drink the tea. Very good glass of sweet tea and... read more

Being a native of the area, I grew up with Carey Hillards. We both chose seafood : hubs, the platter; me, broiled shrimp. All were fresh and delicious. Sides were yummy as usual. HUGE menu, whether you dine in or take out. Chicken, burgers, sammies, great onion rings. Great stop if you are passing through the Savannah area on I... More

The weather was very rainy and we had no initial plans to come here, but we struck the jackpot! The menu was varied, the prices reasonable and the portions large. For $3.99 we got an appetizer overflowing with onion rings. The breading was crispy, but not greasy. The dipping sauce had just a hint of spice. The three of us enjoyed our meals of roasted chicken,BBQ plate and... Many restaurants in the area and there were a lot of cars in this parking lot so we gave it a try. We had never heard of it and found out it was a local family oriented restaurant chain. The 3 people in our group tried a variety of seafood and were not impressed in any way. Nothing was special... More

Carey Hilliard's food is always consistently good as are their prices. Service in the past also was consistent until this visit...BAD. Waiter came over almost the second we were seated. Told him we needed another minute. He walked past us ignoring us, finally stopping to get our order 15 minutes later. Lucky for us, someone else brought out our food.... More

I always enjoy this local restaurant's seafood and barbeque! I had the chicken finger dinner with a side of their delicious fried shrimp! I have not had shrimp anywhere that tastes quite like this place! They must put gold in the batter! Yum!

We just returned from Carey Hilliard's and we are full ! Our dinner started with an appetizer of Boom Boom shrimp that comes with a spicy dipping sauce. The sauce is usually poured over the shrimp but we asked for it on the side. I had the scallop dinner and there was so many scallops I could not eat them... More

Hey when you're tired of the high priced chain restaurants in the area stop by this place. The food is average, but good. Nothing special here, yet the price is right. You won't go home broke buying $3 french fries.

In town for a week working at one of the local companies and after a long day just went to the first place I could find. At first glance of menu everything appeared to be fried ( big seafood selection) but they did offer to broil my haddock and it was great and plentiful. The server Lauren did a great... More
