Wonderful atmosphere and food!

Place was very busy and full. A nice couple asked if I wanted to sit with them at their table. I did. The menu had a nice selection. I ordered the curry chicken salad and a pot tea which was so so GOOD! They make their bread there....and I have an intolerance to wheat but gosh I so so wanted... read more

I am a muffin connoisseur . We stopped here because our lodge we were staying at did not offer breakfast with its rental. I have my own muffins that I have worked to prefect. When I say these are really good I meant it. I had the banana walnut ( which I don't like Banana muffins) but these were great.... More

Absolute worst service in all my years of dining out. We were the only people in the restaurant so asked if they were open. Charles the greeter/waiter was extremely rude and appeared annoyed giving us dirty looks for being there. It was 4:45 pm, we were told only for tea and desserts, no dinner until 6:00pm. We said fine we... More

This is primarily a lunch place, and judging from the reviews, they probably do a good job with lunch. Dinner is way over-priced for what you get. My rack of lamb for $38 included 4 overcooked chops, two undercooked baby carrots, and four pieces of asparagus with a fried polenta (grits) cake. The whole think was covered with a nondescript... The Bakery and Café at Rose Cottage in Pine Mountain, Georgia, a local treasure, is the creation of John and Maria Makin. Serendipitously, the couple landed here, opening the restaurant in 2011 and never looking back. Few people probably know that Chef Makin has trained with the best and overseen luxury hotel and resort restaurants worldwide. He has been recognized... More

My group of 4 friends were recommended this restaurant by several shop owners in town. The atmosphere I quite charming. The staff appeared young but cheerful. We all ordered the hamburger entree. When we received our entree the meat was extremely rare. When i advised the server that I could not eat such rare meat she said it was the... More

My daughter and I had lunch there. She had regular chicken salad on a roll and also soup. I had curry chicken salad with flax seed crackers. Both chicken salads were delicious but our favorite was the curry chicken salad with the flax seed crackers. The soup was my second favorite. We will be back in the area in June... More

Had a nice little breakfast here while staying in Pine Mountain. Raisin bun delicious, coffee very good. Pretty surroundings, friendly staff, best bathrooms EVER! Bought a hostess present also. I would have given 5 stars, but, there was a VERY loud argument coming from the kitchen, where it was apparent to everyone in the shop that the boss was angry... More

The German food and atmosphere was well worth the visit. My family and I enjoyed the authentic German cuisine and the varied menu choices allowed enough options to accommodate all members of our party. The beverages were tasty and deserts were tart.

My sister ( from Pennsylvania) and I have visited Callaway's Needlearts program every year for 13 years. We found this little gem several years ago and it is our favorite spot in Pine Mountain. The food is always delicious and the portions large. We shared the steak this year and still could have taken some home had we been local.... More
