Great salads and fresh baked breads

Our party of four enjoyed take-out salads on one day of our stay and then we ate at the restaurant for lunch one day during our three day visit to Callaway Gardens. The food was fresh and tasty. The soup of the day was the star of our in house visit...asparagus soup.

Some of my group who were at a conference at Callaway Gardens decided to drive into Pine Mountain to look around. We happened upon this bakery and cafe and we went inside. The owner was generous with providing samples of their fresh bakery goods. We sampled the bread, cookies, brownies, scones, and biscotti. They were all delicious. We took a... More

Stopped for lunch. Had to ask for someone to take our order. 50 minutes later get a turkey and brie panni. Barely any brie on it. Had to go to the counter to request our check. Requested to speak to the manager. Most managers want feedback, good or bad. I wasn't rude or mean, I simply state the service had... More

Toss the frozen food, bottles and cans, microwave and just so-so dining options, this is a real bakery with really good bread and a great cafe with local, regional, real food. Freshness does make a difference, with unusual combinations and packed with deliciousness. Why settle for food when you can enjoy really good food?

The Cafe is not far from Callaway Gardens and should be on your list of things to do while at or near the gardens. The cafe is small by the standards of many chain restaurants which is one of its charms. It looks like all the tables are repurposed from homes or older establishments. The decor is much the same.... My husband and I have introduced friends and relatives to the Rose Cottage, so that speaks for something. On weekdays or off-season, I have found both the food and the service to be exceptional. On weekends or busy brunch, the small dining room gets very hectic and that tends to be distracting, especially if your wait person is training others,... More

Pleasantly surprised by this stop in Pine Mountain. Great lunch! Ate lunch outside and was very nice. Good food, good service.

3 words: SALTED CARAMEL CHEESECAKE. You will NOT be sorry. WOW! They have a full menu from which you can choose. The portion size of the entrees is enough for two people. This is a great value for your money. Coffees, teas, artisan sodas, every kind of bread you can imagine. Treat yourself. I am so glad we did.

I am a muffin connoisseur . We stopped here because our lodge we were staying at did not offer breakfast with its rental. I have my own muffins that I have worked to prefect. When I say these are really good I meant it. I had the banana walnut ( which I don't like Banana muffins) but these were great.... More

Absolute worst service in all my years of dining out. We were the only people in the restaurant so asked if they were open. Charles the greeter/waiter was extremely rude and appeared annoyed giving us dirty looks for being there. It was 4:45 pm, we were told only for tea and desserts, no dinner until 6:00pm. We said fine we... More
