Our 2 families (total of 9 adults 3 children),that were staying at Callaway Gardens enjoyed our family night out at The Country Kitchen. The food (think Cracker Barrel) was good, we had an excellent waitress, and ... it was reasonably priced!

Love southern cooking so I made it a point to eat at the Country Kitchen during a visit to Callaway Gardens. The restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of parking. I arrived early for dinner (not to much past 5) and was seated immediately. The table was out the back of the restaurant with a great view but... More

The best fried chicken ever! This is southern comfort food at its best. From the sweet tea to the chicken and gravy to the rich desserts, they do it right. Right up there with Gramma's cooking.

I always like to stop here to see the pretty rock building and to enjoy the lookout across the street. It reminds me of an old timey country store. My son and I only bought a .15 root beer candy cane to eat, so I can't speak to the fare otherwise. The store has pretty gifts.

The food was very good with excellent service. The restaurant also has mountain views out of the back as well as an observation platform in front. There is also a country store in the front with all types of homemade fudge, jams, butters, and several other similar merchandise. Over all great experience.

This was a very good, home style breakfast. The biscuits were delicious! Ask for a seat by the window because the view is why you'll really want to eat here! Afterwards you can get some homemade preserves in the cute gift shop. I would definitely eat here again.

Get a table by the window; the view is wonderful! There are even shades if the sun is in your eyes. Oh yeah, the food is good, southern comfort food that is straighforward at reasonable prices. The server was courteous and helpful. Complimentary biscuits and cornbread for appetizer that are delicious. I can see this place getting crowded but it... More

Food was good but not great. Service was courteous but very slow. Lots of servers standing around. Perhaps some of them should have been in kitchen helping the cooks. The menu is similar to Cracker Barrel. I like Cracker Barrel better. Large gift shop. Scenic view from top of mountain.

We took the long way around to this very pleasant restaurant. Four of us walked in 15 minutes before closing time. We were welcomed and well treated. The food was very good "comfort food" with great wait service and a charming atmosphere. Our granddaughters enjoyed their meals so much that they asked to go back there the next night.

We opted to have breakfast here one morning instead of the breakfast buffet at the Inn. We got a window seat overlooking a valley and mountains which was an added bonus. What can one say about breakfast, the service was fast and efficient and enough to satisfy a morning appetite, An added bonus was the Country Store in front of... More
