We visited after being Callaway Gardens. Went in because of all the cars outside. Staff all very friendly and helpful. We had smoked chicken and pulled pork with sides. All really fresh. Sure you eat on paper plates but the food tasted the same!

The outside of the building is not that appealing but looking at the number of cars in their parking lot, my wife and I felt this must be the place. This BBQ is open only from 11:00a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and it has a very limited menu served on re-enforced paper plates with plastic table ware. The food was fantastic,... More

6 of us had lunch recently at Moore's Whistling Pig Cafe in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The place was packed with lots of locals. After ordering the wait time was only a few minutes before the happy waitress brought our luncheon plates. The chopped barbecue sandwiches were fabulous with a choice of 3 sauces...hot, medium and sweet molasses. Three of us... More

But there are lots of locals who eat here. The BBQ meat is tender but I think it was just the sauce I wasn't crazy about. The fries are good and you get a large BBQ sandwich with fries and a drink for $7. So a lot of food for a good price. Keep in mind it looks like the... More

This was my favorite guilty pleasure. Yes, it's a hole in the wall and it feels like walking back in time. But the sauces and the side options make it well worth it. My favorite were the fried green tomatoes. We ate some and then took some to go. They close early so go before you head out to Callaway.

My visit to the Whistling Pig included meeting the Mayor of Pine Mountain and having lunch with the executive director for the Harris County Chamber of Commerce. The point being is the Whistling Pig is where the locals go. The food is just good local food with barbecue, burgers and hot dogs. Try the chick-tater - a local favorite if... More

Let's face it. Pulled pork is pulled pork. A good Boston butt slow smoked overnight will get 'er done. What makes a joint is good ole Southern redneck ambiance. and the sauces! Don't try breakfast or dinner because there ain't any. Just a hectic wonderful lunch. The wife ordered fried green beans which isn't on the menu. Oh well. Myself... More

They always have great daily specials. My husband and I always enjoy their hamburgers but the main thing that is my favorite is the French fries!!! They are homemade like my grandmother used to make!

When you see the police cruisers in the parking lot, you know this is going to be a great place to eat. Don't be discouraged by the atmosphere; this is Bubba country. You couldn't ask for friendlier service, and they're glad to make recommendations from their colorful menu. Follow their suggestions and you'll have a great lunch. You'll be back.
