After reading other reviews we were a little leary about trying San Marcos. It was a Monday and most restaurants were closed. Lucky for us because we had a great meal. Service was outstanding! Margaritas perfect and our food hot and tasty. When in the area we will definitely stop by again.

We have been eating at San Marcos for years. Every time we visit Pine Mountain, we would look forward to eating at San Marcos. The food is excellent and the value is good. However, the service has slipped to an unacceptable level. Our last three visits have not been acceptable. Last night we were seated and it took over fifteen... More

I have eaten here once and found the food to be unimpressive. My Shrimp Fajitas were overlooked and greasy...not what I expected at all.

We chose this place for dinner Friday night. I was a little concerned by the outside of the building. It resembled a bar but there really wasn't anything else open on the mountain. We went inside and there were lots of kids so we stayed. The salsa was like pasta sauce. It didn't taste very good. The cheese quesadilla was... More

The food here is great. We have been going the 1st night we are at Callaway for the past 6 years! I LOVE the fajitas , but try anything. We have not had a bad meal! This includes 4 adults and 2 children (now 8 & 11).

Hostesses were a bunch of teens who could not get it together.... ignored us, acted clueless. Food was really bad.. I had a combo and it was basically unseasoned ground beef with melted velveeta cheese in three varying forms.

A loud, busy restaurant with really good Mexican food. A very family friendly place but the service was a bit lacking.

Our food and drinks were fine. The waiter was friendly. But we had the unfortunate luck of being seated by the cashier. No word from her when we entered, and after several awkward moments she picked up two menus and walked away. Apparently this was our clue to follow. When she tried to seat us at a table in the... Looks can be deceiving...the building may not make Architect Digest...but the food is worth going in to eat! Staff is very attentive and efficient! The food is delicious! I have never eaten everything on my plate...even though I try! Love going here to eat after a day at Callaway!!!

San Marcos isn't much to look at but sometimes a hole in the wall can be a hidden gem. I wouldn't call this one a gem, but if you are looking something in a town with limited choices this is a decent option. On a busy Saturday night our party of 9 was seated within 20 minutes. We enjoyed several... More
