I went here for brunch last Sunday with some friends that loved this place. They spoke highly of the chicken piccata. I got breakfast, which was really good. It seemed a little strange to order an egg based meal at an Italian place, but I guess Italians need breakfast as well. I'd go back.

We're used to SF North Beach Italian. This is equal, really; no "chain" restaurant food here! Excellent and varied menu, and the service (Tim, Barbara the owner, and others) is quite personal and kind (we know their names after only our first visit)! We'll be here regularly.

My daughter and I had lunch at Mama Lucia's today and had the best chicken piccata ever! This particular dish is not on the menu, so you have to ask for it, think it is called Tim's Chicken Piccata. Our waiter was Tim, and he was awesome as well, so ask for him!

I had lunch here with my mother. Our waiter was Tim and he was very energetic and welcoming as he seated us. We were interested in the chicken piccata and he recommended we try "Tim's chicken piccata" which was a lightly fried piece if chicken with fried artichoke hearts on top of pasta with a lemon caper butter sauce. It... More

Barbara, the owner of this wonderful restaurant, is always improving the menu and dining experience. The wine list offers quality wines at affordable prices. Entrees are large. Service is prompt. Only complaint is that the waiter filled the wine glasses too high eadh time. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant especially if you intend to see a movie... More

They were able to accommodate 20 people last minute and still provide great service and delicious food. Appetizers were well prepared and yummy. Generous portions to share with others at table. Pasta dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients and table presentation was excellent as well. Quality beer and wine selection.

This restaurant is perfect if you want something other than the humdrum Italian food served by chains around town. It's locally own an operated by a couple where the husband is the chef and the wife takes care of the day to day workings of the establishment. The reviews I have seen made me a little tepid to try this... More

It wasn't busy during lunch and that should have been my first clue that I should stay away! I didn't realize that 'wait staff' meant people who kept you waiting; I foolishly thought it meant I would get waited ON! But no! No one was at the door to greet us, we were kept waiting for a good ten minutes... More
