Home cooking and a hug!

Mother's Kitchen is definitely open for business @ 33 1/2 East Broad St. in Newnan. It's a very small location with a "no frills" atmosphere, but the food and the hugs are worth stopping in for! You walk directly in to a counter where you order a meat and three with or without dessert. The meal... read more

Tried going there for breakfast this morning and the building is vacant and for lease. I am always sorry to see a local business close. I hope they just moved.

First time visiting restaurant while in New Orleans. Went twice.First visit the wait staff was friendly butsevond visit one guy was a little nasty when we decided to change tables. Food was great both times. Salad was fresh, gumbo was the bomb, fried chicken was on point, and portions were mower than expected.

It was so good the first time we ate there we had to bring some friends to eat lunch with us! The line was out the door and it wasn't even 12 noon yet! Arriving by around 11:30 is a good thing to do. This is just GREAT DOWN-HOME COOKING at its best. Simple but fantastic food. And the price....well,... More

Eat like a local. Hard to find but worth it. Sure beats the chain restaurants. But bring cash. No plastic.

Talk about 'down home cooking'!!! This is da place!!! This is truly a 'dive' and a fantastic one at that. NO advertising....only word of mouth. Some of the BEST fried chicken I have eaten....and I am picky when it comes to fried chicken. I don't even eat KFC fried chicken because I am picky. I got the cabbage and black-eyed... More

Southern home cooking. This is a must visit if you are in Newnan,Georgia. It is an opportunity to experience what I call a Mill Town Cafe. Nothing fancy here, just the essentials for a good meal served up by friendly folks. You can still find places like this throughout the south, but like Mother's they can be hard to find... More

Not to be missed! Nothing fancy, but when the atmosphere, the family running the place and the cooking are so genuine why would you go anywhere else? This is where the locals go. i had only 2 meals out on this quick funeral trip. I'm glad one of them was here for true Southern soul food. I had the fried... More

Great little hidden place - you have to know about it, as it is hidden on a side alley with a very small sign over a screen door. Mother is warm and friendly, and eager to serve. The food is just plain home cooking. Good, but not great. Price is reasonable - $5 for a full meal + drink. The... More
