In spite of the good reviews, we didn't expect such a wonderful and unique dining experience. From the unusual architecture (it's located in an atrium) to the spunky waitresses to the delicious food, this restaurant would be a hit even in a major metro area. I had the seafood cioppino, which is one of my favorites. It was in a... More

This restaurant was a little difficult to locate as it is in the back of a very nice antique mall, but it is oh so worth seeking it out. The wait staff service was impeccable. The back view is lovely and if weather permits you can dine outside. Inside in the middle of the room is a modern fireplace if... More

I was in town visiting friends and we went out for dinner at Town 220, right behind the James Madison Inn. It was a pleasant experience. The ambiance was wonderful - the restaurant had an upscale feel, but people were still wearing jeans. We were seated right next to a fireplace feature, which was nice and warm. Service was fairly... My wife and I visited Madison for the day. This is a beautiful town to stroll and take in the history. I found Town 220 on Trip Advisor, and it did not disappoint. It is two blocks off of the main street, which unfortunately keeps it quiet during lunch. I did learn that if the Bulldogs are playing at home,... More

Some food was fantastic -ahi tuna, some disappointing - cream of mushroom soup which had been mentioned on previous review as stellar but was lacking in seasoning - and some was downright bad - who serves fried green tomatoes swimming in tomato sauce? The service was so friendly it made up for much.

Ate lunch here recently. Beautiful, very quaint place with an outdoor area for pretty days. The mushroom soup was divine! Absolutely THE BEST I have EVER had. And the salads were particularly crispy! And the wine list.....great.

Although a 30 minute drive from our home, we have been to this restaurant several times. We love to drive to Madison and normally spend several hours downtown antiquing and shopping and we usually end up at Town 220 for dinner. The setting is nice, there is some elegance without being overdone and dressy-casual best describes the atmosphere. There is... More

A step back into the old south. Great setting, good food, try outside if weather permits. I had the shrimp and grits, very good but not the best I have had-a little bland for my taste . Not crowded, a very pleasant experience.
