Very good food

We came an hour away to stay in Madison and see the town. 220 was recommended by more than one person. We ate steak there the first night. Katie was our waitress, she was a doll and very good at her job! Thank you Katie! The food was awesome as was the desert. We enjoyed it so much that we... read more

The portions were large but the food was average. And if you don't want to lose your appetite, don't sit by the chef's window where the large gentleman in the denim chef coat stand while wiping his nose and is face. More than once. I seriously hope he washed his hands before returning to cooking.

Just visited this restaurant based on the locals recommendations. It was perfect. Great deck in the tree tops and we were visited by a humming bird. We had a great waiter (Clark) who made our visit that much better. We both ordered fish and were impressed with the portion and the quality. Chef is outstanding, with entries and sides. Next... This was our first time going to Town 220 though we have lived in the area for a while. Now all i can think about is when can we go back?! We had fresh oysters on the half shell that were delicious and a wonderful spinach dip for appetizers to start us off. I got the special duck confit which... More

I am so glad I gave this place another chance after my first review during their opening. We had an excellent lunch with prompt service. The dessert Napoleon was to die for!

Good friendly service and the food was great. We sat outside in the sunshine. A lovely evening of fine food and wine.

you do not expect to find such up-scale food in a small town. Town 220 proves the exception to that rule. Food was excellently prepared in the windowed kitchen. Presentation was excellent, by both the chefs and the staff. Be sure to try the desserts. They are worth the trip alone.

We love this place but have had a few experiences with the lunch time servers. Most are excellent but one or two have an attitude. On our recent visit for lunch, there was a moderate crowd. I asked for coffee and the young lady server just refused to bring it. We are always very polite and tip well. I asked... More

We came here first on July 9 to sit at the bar and have some drinks and appetizers. Alex, the bartender was so friendly. We had drinks and I had the wedge salad and my husband had the ceaser salad. Both were excellent. Then we shared the shrimp tempura and crab cakes. I couldn't pick which was better. But the... More
