Surprisingly good

I haven't lived in Georgia that long and have only thought of Madison as the mid-point stopping off town with a truck stop off of I-20 between where we live and Atlanta. We drove here to stay overnight at a wonderful inn in the same parking lot as Town 220. The menu is diverse, and there are many... read more

My husband and I were visiting the area and this restaurant was a great suggestion. The food selections were interesting and many to choose from. They have an extensive wine & beer selection also. Our entrees were a grouper dish and veal scallopini accompanied by roasted beets, greens, twice baked, stuffed potato w/shrimp & crab. Our dinners were delectable! Our... More

Solid upscale casual dining in Madison. We were seated promptly upon arrival and well cared for throughout the evening. Crab cakes were an excellent choice to start. Almost all crab with a light coating of bread crumbs to provide a little crunch on the outside. My steak pommes frites was an almost perfect medium rare and tasty. My better half... More

Have dined here several times. The specials are always wonderful and they usually have about 5 or 6. Service has always been good. Deserts are very tasty.

We dined here on New Year's Eve, when the restaurant offered a special prix fixe four-course dinner. The dishes were presented beautifully, and the portions were generous. It was all very good, and the smoked salmon, crab, and New York strip steak were superb. It was very easy to find gluten-free choices, and the server was happy to check with... More

Have never been here until today, and enjoyed it. The place is kind of an old office building, and the restaurant is on the lower level, like on a main floor of a big building, so wide open spaces, the ceilings are 40 feet up, that kind of feel. Nice deck for outdoor dining (not today of course). We had... More

Town 220 has a well earned reputation for fine food. Owner is nearly always on site. Stay at James Madison for some special tie-ins. Never in a hurry crowd enjoys nearly everything on the menu. Nice bar. Great view of Madison's Heritage walk. Art displayed from several talented painters in the area.

We reserved a table for dinner and were kept waiting for over 1 1/2 hours , once seated we ordered our food, the waitress said she would bring some bread, it never came so we had to go to the bar to get it. The first course took at least 20mins to arrive, again we had to find some one... More

Town 220 is the top place to eat in Madison. The food is always very good, the wine list is excellent and the staff is extremely helpful. The nightly specials are a real treat.
