My wife and I went to Madison on Dec 6, 14 for the candlelight homes tour and being extremely hungry after walking for 3 hours we decided to try out this restaurant. I was more than surprised by the quality of the food, although the young girl who waited on out table was not very good, but I'm rating here... More

From the outside, this looks like an expensive steak house. However, the menu is moderately priced. The choices are also what you would expect in this price range. We dined on a Sunday and received very good service. The food is very good with ample portions.

We dined here for a birthday dinner with family (grandparents, parents, teens). Given the location in Madison, the beautiful building, we expected a quality meal. That wasn't what we experienced. The food was very average, bordering on not good. We were seated quickly and accommodated for the size of our party. Wait staff was adequate even though a very large... More

Stopped by on the way home from ball game in Athens. Did some shopping and saw the sign for Chop House. Food was very good, large portons. Service was fast and very good. The whole staff was friendly. Sereral folks came by to see if we were ok. I will be back.

We ate our 2nd anniversary dinner at the Chop House on a cool Monday night. Our food; a half rack of ribs, and Aunt Jemima pork chops were very good, presentation was not very imaginative but serving sizes were more than adequate. Service was very good, but we were seated two tables from the door leading to the outside patio,... More

Went to Chop House on a very busy Saturday night and we were sat fairly quickly. It was loud and the speed of service was average. My wife and I shared the pimento cheese flatbread pizza appetizer which was a special. It was the best thing we ate all night. My wife had a calamari Caesar salad which would have... More

I like eating at a different restaurant each time on my way flying home from Atlanta to Denver. This time I looked up Madison, GA since it was just north of I-20. I picked the Madison Steakhouse because I was in the mood for a good rib-eye! They had a special titled "Bloody Mary Marinated Rib-Eye! With that strange name... More

There is not a great choice of eating places in Madison on a Sunday. Chop House was ok but not exceptional. It didn't help that we were sat next to the door onto the outside eating area with constant movement in and out.
