Stopped by on the way home from ball game in Athens. Did some shopping and saw the sign for Chop House. Food was very good, large portons. Service was fast and very good. The whole staff was friendly. Sereral folks came by to see if we were ok. I will be back.

We ate our 2nd anniversary dinner at the Chop House on a cool Monday night. Our food; a half rack of ribs, and Aunt Jemima pork chops were very good, presentation was not very imaginative but serving sizes were more than adequate. Service was very good, but we were seated two tables from the door leading to the outside patio,... More

Went to Chop House on a very busy Saturday night and we were sat fairly quickly. It was loud and the speed of service was average. My wife and I shared the pimento cheese flatbread pizza appetizer which was a special. It was the best thing we ate all night. My wife had a calamari Caesar salad which would have... More

We have eaten here in the past when traveling and were pleased with it, so I suggested that we stop here when traveling with family on Sunday. We went around 11:30. It was very slow then and we were seated in the back room where we saw about 4 to 5 waitresses laying around and when we walked in they... More

I like eating at a different restaurant each time on my way flying home from Atlanta to Denver. This time I looked up Madison, GA since it was just north of I-20. I picked the Madison Steakhouse because I was in the mood for a good rib-eye! They had a special titled "Bloody Mary Marinated Rib-Eye! With that strange name... More

There is not a great choice of eating places in Madison on a Sunday. Chop House was ok but not exceptional. It didn't help that we were sat next to the door onto the outside eating area with constant movement in and out.

The ribs came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. We split a full rack and should have split 1/2 rack - we could not eat them all. Believe the honey mustard better than the tomato based BBQ, but both good and very tender. Sides were a little disappointing.

While checking out this beautiful historic town we decided to have our evening meal at the Madison Chop House. Actually it was the only place we could find open. We were seated in a near empty back room since the main restaurant and bar was crowded. A server finally took our order. After a long wait (okay because they were... More
