Ask at the hotel the best place around to eat and the suggestion seems to always be the French Market. Perhaps the raving would be too great? But no problem here. Not Michelin 3 stars but tucked on the main street in a rehabilitated....something. Service was quite good, seated quickly near the bar, server Nicole was prompt, knowledgeable of the... More

We had heard about the French Market and decided to give it a shot. Wow what a nice discovery. The attention to detail in decor is impeccable. Service could not have been better. I had the Port Boy Peace Maker (shrimp & Oysters) along with the drunken slaw. Mouth watering. My wife had the chicken salad croissant on recommendation of... More

Normally I would give this restaurant a five because I come here at least 4 or 5 times a year. Last night (Saturday) I was a bit disappointed in the way they handled our dinner party. I had called for reservations for 9 family members. Wanted to introduce this wonderful restaurant to my daughter. When we arrived, they didn't have... More

If one shells out 12 bucks for chicken fingers and a side of corn maque choux (fancy name for dish that tastes like canned Mexican corn with a watery sauce), one expects at least an attempt at presentation. There was not even a sprig of parsley to brighten the plate and entice the eye. The fingers were reminiscent of Joan... More

The food was delicious. I am from New Orleans and the food would compare to a meal in New Orleans and surpass it.

What more could you ask for? The building is old and absolutely beautiful without losing any of its character. The food was good and a nice variety was offered on the menu. The bakery was fantastic and their offerings had been lovingly displayed. Besides all this, there is a gift shop!

This is a really good place to take a family out to eat. The good is excellent and the service is acceptable. I wouldn't trade to go to any other french restaurant.

Stopped here on a trip driving home to FL because we saw the billboards for it on the highway. The town it's in is cute, like an old western town and the market itself is amazing. I loved all the items for sale in the market portion and even bought a cornbread candle while there which smelled amazing. I had... More

Happened to find the French Market on this app as a plan B for an interrupted Saturday afternoon. The wives enjoyed the gift shop a lot. Interesting items to see. We all enjoyed a relaxed dinner. Everyone had something different with an awesome artichoke dip in a bread bowl. Great deserts too. Can't wait to come again.
