Attentive Server & Wide Array of Desserts

Our server was very attentive during this, our first visit to Locust Grove. She suggested house specialties and popular entrees, and our meals were promptly delivered with a smile. My wife and I both had the Pork Tenderloin- Key word - tender, after a long wait- 40 minutes from the time we entered- our food came out. Both of us said at the same time - Is yours tough, both of us had very over cooked Pork Tenderloin. We called the manager, she took over 5 minutes to get... More

A great find! First of all, the place is just really well put together… The owner obviously cares A LOT about presenting well....spotless bathrooms, well-merchandised market, etc. Second, the "French" in the name is because the Chef specializes in Creole cuisine....and really has their act together! Third, I really liked the staff. They were dancing when the music was fun,... More

Great Food, killer desserts and southern hospitality to go along with it. If I'm back in the area we will definitely be paying another visit.

We were travelling home from Florida when we stopped at The French Market for lunch. It is a little way off I-75 but well worth taking the time. There are a lot of creole dishes on the menu. The Gumbo is an 1890s recipe from the chef's Grandmother. Our lunch was one of the best. If you are a desert... More

We ate a late lunch at the French Market while trying to avoid I-75. It was a very pleasant experience and well worth the time it takes to get there. I ate the monte cristo with fries and was so full, I had to take the chocolate cake I ordered with me to enjoy later (which I did). It was... More

Wife and I drove up from Macon on a Saturday for an early supper before doing a little shopping at Tanger. We arrived in the downtown area of Locust Grove around 4:45 and the place was already starting to gain a little crowd for the evening meal. After perusing the nicely acquainted gift shop, we were sat by the hostess... More

We dine here typicality once or twice a month. Always great food and excellent service. Highly recommend the boudin balls - excellent spice and great taste. Not a bad dish on the menu, but the burgers and steaks are outstanding. Also try the Wedge Salad - large enough to make a meal. The FM is one of our favs -... More

The French Market is a quaint little spot for dining. The food is good and it is cozy. There are not many nice eating places in Locust Grove so this was a pleasant surprise. The fire place is a crowd pleaser as well as the outside eating area. They also have very good desserts and a little country store.

There is always something interesting to find at the French Market. Whether it is a special for the day, a special item to purchase in the store or a new cupcake flavor. They frequently have live entertainment as well. The food is very well prepared and I was super happy that it actually arrives to the table HOT! The staff... More
