I am not a "trendy-foodie" ... I enjoy home-style cooking while I travel on business. For a place that appears to specialize in "home style" and "comfort food", the place did not disappoint. A good test was how the place prepared chicken livers - done but not dried out. The fried chicken passed the same test. Some of the veggies... More

To be honest, what drew us to the restaurant was the promise of hot wings on Wednesday. Unfortunately, either my uncle was mistaken, or the usual Wednesday menu didn't happen this Wednesday. Apart from that disappointment, there really wasn't much to commend this place except that where was plenty to eat. But most of the food wasn't all that appetizing.... More

My wife and I really enjoyed our meal at the Fried Tomato Buffet. The collard greens were exceptionally good. My wife said if we lived in LaGrange she would never cook.

It really seems this part of the country is all about buffets. They serve more or less the same foods. It comes down to the atmosphere and the care they take with the food. This place can get crowded and it's really not all that comfortable. It's almost always busy and that's because they do a pretty good job on... More

Lots to choose from, but the food was just ehh. Soul food and southern comfort foods in large supply, but more bland than inspiring in the flavor department. The staff were all very kind and helpful.

The food is pretty good, especially the vegetables! The cabbage, butter beans, peas, etc are always good. The salad bar is also really good, except for the iceberg lettuce. Great deal at $8 a person including drink

We were there on a Thursday at 6:30PM and we were lucky to get a table right away. If we had arrived 15 minutes later there would have been a wait. This place is popular with the locals, and for good reason. All the food was good and plenty of options from which to choose. The real standouts during our... More

Our hotel recommend this place to us and we were a little skeptical at first. We went in and checked it out and decided to go for it. OH MY...it was GREAT! They had some awesome collard greens, green beans, and beef tips. The price was even more unbelievable...cheap! Our server was so friendly and genuine. Next time we are... More

Looking for a place to grab a bite and Siri found this place. Yelp reviews looked interesting so we tried it. Very good Siri! The first good sign was a packed parking lot. This is a down home country cooking buffet and it is the best I have had in a while. Meatloaf, chicken, chicken livers, mac and cheese, green... More

What I don't like is quickly forgotten once I start eating the outstanding food. I don't like the feeling of a crowded atmosphere, but that is the "feeling" of the way it is laid out. what I do like is the casual neighborhood feeling that you get - all the farmers coming in to town for lunch, parents feeling comfortable...
