Big Sam's is pretty good. I like their BBQ. Convenient to where I live. I don't really think it is open any longer.

It does take a few minutes gettng off the highway, but in my estimation, it is totally worth it. Large portions and friendly staff. Meat was very tender. If I was driving through I would definitely revisit

We met out-of-town relatives for dinner on a Sunday night. Sam was a fantastic host and entertained us until the rest if our party arrived. We will DEFINITELY be going back - I hope on a regular basis! The handmade brats and smoked sausage were out of this world. One person in our party had the baked potato that was... More

Stopped in for lunch Sunday on the way home to Alabama. We had a great BBQ plate and a pulled pork sandwich with collard greens, mashed potatoes, and potato salad!! It was all finger licking good! Sam and his crew were very friendly and provided fast service.

Living in Rhode Island and visiting friends only once a year down in Hogansville, Ga., it's on my top priority list to visit Big Sam's each and every time I'm down in the area. We stopped by Big Sam's on the weekend of the NASCAR Talladega race on the Friday night. The restaurant was full, and our orders quickly taken,... More

My wife and I stopped at Big Sam's and enjoyed a great BBQ dinner while in LaGrange, GA. Wonderful BBQ, baked beans, potato salad and a yuengling bottle of beer. Friendly service and alot of large flat screen TV's dedicated to football fan customers. Owner and waitress made us feel right at home in their nice restaurant.

We chose this restaurant for a quick stop on a drive from Atlanta to Auburn. We're from Washington State and have never had real Southern BBQ. Sam didn't disappoint! The hospitality was incredible and the food was fabulous! Our 9 year old son didn't think he'd like it, but he devoured the Lil Piggy Sammwich, which was a huge portion.... More

We walked in - after a long drive from New Orleans - 2 Brits in the middle of nowhere! Big Sam welcomed us with open arms! Food was great, ribs so tender they fell off the bone and the BBQ sauce was lush!. Waitresses were all lovely and Big Sam was the "Hostess with the Mostess" A brilliant night out... More
