Frozen seafood. Warmed plated. Served. You can do better in the frozen aisle at the grocery store. I got the crab (cold), shrimp (lukewarm) and passed on the greasy fries and the rest. Frankly after the first few bites I was too nauseous to even pretend to enjoy it. I could say more but why. Just keep driving.

I have eaten at other locations of this restaurant over the years and find that if you want good basic southern seafood this is a reasonable choice. Keep in mind that you are in south Georgia and can expect anything and everything to be fried (still wondering over the fried mac n cheese). The salad bar is well stocked and... More

We've stopped here a few times and have never been disappointed. It's an older building but is well maintained and bright and cheerful inside. The offerings are typical for a seafood restaurant but are quite tasty and well prepared. The service has been courteous and attentive each time we dined here. Prices are very reasonable. A great alternative to the... More

My best friend and I had the soup & salad bar while out celebrating her birthday yesterday and we both noticed how fresh & clean the salad bar was. It was our lucky day since they only have their delicious shrimp & rice soup on Friday. The soup station was neat and clean with an abundant supply of hot cheddar... More

Delicious fried oysters. Salad bar is good with many choices. They have a good burger if seafood is not for you. Friendly waitstaff and fast service.

We weren't gonna order fish that far from the coast, so we got steaks. They were good, decent beef, cooked correctly as we ordered. They have a soup & salad buffet that's included with the steaks, a great deal, everything was fresh and tasty. Loved the corn bread. The onion ring & fried 'shroom sides were good, o.k, it's the... The food doesn't measure up to the price and our waitress was very rude. We stopped here one time and will never go back. After we had just received our order, the waitress harassed us countless times asking if we wanted a to-go box, making us feel like she was in a hurry to be rid of us. We packed... More

We looked at the salad bar and it was pretty vast, however the salad was turning brown. My girlfriend ordered the crab cakes and did not even eat half of one. She stated it tasted like the frozen ones you get from the store. I ordered a steak and asked for medium well, when brought to table it was rare.... More

We stop here on every trip on US-301 through Jesup. It is worth a side trip if you are on another road. The salad bar is just wonderful. Seafood and service are a joy.

Allen and I enjoyed a nice seafood lunch at Captain Joe's while we were on our baseball spring training trip -- on our way to Florida. The server was very friendly. Most of the people there appeared to be local. I had three nice sized pieces of fish and they were good. we also got a nice salad. We did... More
