The Rah Bar is essentially out-door seating on the dock. The boiled shrimp were fresh and excellent. Initially they were served with a seasoning, but the cheerfully replaced the serving with one with the seasoning and dips on the side. Wine was by the plastic glass, but drinkable and fit with the informality of the meal. Excellent pecan pie rounded... More

If you are traveling to the east coast of Georgia and visit Jekyll Island you must go to the Rah Bar Restaurant! My husband and I visited for the first time and experienced a great meal of steamed shrimp and red potatoes! The shrimp were fresh caught that day! We arrived around 6:00 PM and to our delight there was... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The restaurant is located on a dock overlooking the marsh. Very relaxing setting. The menu is fairly small. We tried a cup of crab bisque and a pound of steamed Georgia white shrimp. The soup was good, but the shrimp were far better. It is a nice casual spot to enjoy a simple meal... More

We visit Jekyll Island on average about 8 times a year and we always eat at the Rah Bar at least twice each time we visit. This place has always been a favorite of ours. In fact we love it so much I hate to even write this poor review but the last two visits we've had to the island... More

We ate there twice. One of the few places open before 5:30 on the island that is not hot dog and hamburgers. We had fresh steamed sea food. It is a limited menu, but food was good. Was nice to watch the intercoastal waterway. It sits near many shops and a fancy hotel, which has what seems like miles of... More

We were traveling with our dog so this place was good for us. The food was tasty but the prices were a little on the high side for what you got. We ordered the seafood dip app and there was enough dip but not enough pita chips and most of them were broken pieces that made it hard to get... More

Nothing fancy about this place but that is ok as you dine on the dock overlooking the Jekyll Island marshes. Service was good but food only average and the menu is limited. Provided some nice local entertainment.

We stopped in for drinks and something to eat after a day of exploring. The drinks were good, but the menu is lacking a little variety. I got a hot dog, as there was nothing else on the menu I wanted. They do have a small seafood selection, but since it's small, don't expect a huge selection to choose from... More

The view from Jekyll Island pier was great and the crowd was energized by the band and surroundings. Food was pretty good - peel and eat shrimp delicious but oysters very small.

We had dinner there last night and had great service and excellent food. Tonight we stopped after the dolphin cruise and asked for take-out. The manager informed us they had too many orders and refused to serve us. That was a major disappointment and will make us think twice before returning.
