We really have tried to like this place. We loved the restaurant that was here before. The location is great, with great views overlooking the lake and mountains. Half of the place is a bar. It can be a rowdy and loud bar. They are separated by glass doors and a wall, but neither go to the ceiling and it... More

Excellent food and the staff were so friendly. Calamari was the best I've had. We ended up with a dead battery and our waiter went above and beyond to get us help.

My wife and I saw a flyer advertising a 50's-60's dance at the Firelight lounge/Cafe Portofino. We made reservations for dinner planning to dine and then dance for the evening. We were greeted by a very personable hostess and seated in the very nicely appointed lounge area, so far so good. Then our "server" presented herself at the table and... More

all I can say is that this was the worst food I ever had anywhere and the help had an "I don't give a darn" attitude. the only good thing about this place is the view. maybe a drink next to the window would be the best thing to do.. they need to get rid of everyone including the cook... More

Oct 10th, a friend & I ate here--our 1st time. She ordered unsweetened tea with lemon. I - sweet tea with lemon. Two sips later, I said it was horrible. My friend said hers tasted ok, so I tasted again, like an idiot. Seconds later I was sweating & off to the bathroom. I felt slightly better, our food arrived.... More

This is a great little restaurant that I love going to, however, if you're going to eat here you need to plan on paying $25-$30 minimum. I particularly love the specials that they have, and the eggplant portofino. I love the atmosphere, although I will say that I prefer it when there isn't a band playing, the area is just... More

Even though my husband and I went there fairly often just to grab a quick delicious meal, it has a much nicer ambience, suitable to a special date. Wonderful food, service and sometimes live entertainment.

We have eaten at the main restaurant several times. It has always been good. Fish and steak dinners are 5 stars. Seems like it would be more Italian based, but no pizza, more formal than most restaurants in the area. The adjoining Fireside Bar and Grill is casual dining, like a sports bar, but they recently took out the several... More

I was there recently and had lunch. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich that came with fries. Chicken salad tasted like it was made from left-over chicken and was very dry fries were okay. Over-priced at $10-Service was terrible. The wait-staff was more interested in socializing than waiting on their customers. I had to ask 3 times for coffee.

The outside has a nice patio dining area, and as you enter there is a bar area to the left. The dining room was very nicely decorated, with up scale accoutrements. Our server was very friendly and professional. The menu had a nice variety, we chose the calamari and oysters rockefeller appetizers. The portions were so generous that we didn't... More
