On a beautiful Friday evening our group of 9 decided to try Murphy's Chop House. We had no reservations, but the staff was cheerfully accommodating even as the place was filling up. The menu was appealing, and most of my group settled on the buffalo burger, which they claimed unremarkable. I chose a pieced of broiled fish; big mistake! It... More

It was a bad experience. We went with another family. We waited too long for the food. Then, the main course came out in three phases, my burger was cold and raw. My wifes burger was hockey puck burnt. The waiter took them both back but the other family had already finished eating since they had received their food 10... More

Nice restaurant, good wait staff, but our meals were lacking. My husband ordered trout, filleted well, no bones but not as flaky as other trout he's had. I ordered prime beef. Was more rare than the medium I ordered and was full of fat even though the meat tasted good. My husband and I both had green beans and basmati... More

Enjoyable evening. Hubs had a build-your-own surf and turf (special), I had the steak au poivre. Steaks were cooked as requested, my strip had a nice reduction on it. Cheese grits and creamed spinach were both good. We didn't try any appetizers and didn't have room for dessert. Overall an enjoyable meal. Service was attentive. Priced more on the fine... More

This is a great find in North Georgia! The service was excellent even though we were there for all you care to eat crab legs night. We had an excellent appetizer which was a crab cheese and bacon hot dip with fresh tortilla chips. My husband had shrimp bisque which was phenomenal. I had a flat bread with chicken basil... More

We eat here regularly and my 4yo says they have the best mac & cheese in town! The food is always good but we highly recommend their specials. They seem to always be better than the menu items. And their soups are always excellent. The staff is great and they always remember us and make us feel welcome. Great place!

We went there last night for a belated Valentine's dinner for four. We made reservations a few days in advance and were seated immediately. The couples shared steaks ($5.00 extra to share, but we all had separate veggies and salads/soups). Great view of Lake Chatuge when it's daylight. We'll definitely come back!

The restaurant tries to be fancy and for the most part they succeed. My mother & I shared the pecan encrusted chicken, it was good (but I've made better). My father ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and again it was good, but nothing note worthy. The wait staff were very pleasant, and we enjoyed our dining experience.

They had about six or seven early bird specials for $14.95 if you are seated between 4 pm and 6 pm. We were seated with a beautiful view of lake. Inside has great bar area and great atmosphere. Lovely interior. Our waiter was extremely attentive and professional. We had a special appetizer that was some kind of warm dip with... More

Probably the best view of Lake Chatuge. The specials are a good value especially the fish and chips on Fridays.
