We went there last night for a belated Valentine's dinner for four. We made reservations a few days in advance and were seated immediately. The couples shared steaks ($5.00 extra to share, but we all had separate veggies and salads/soups). Great view of Lake Chatuge when it's daylight. We'll definitely come back!

The restaurant tries to be fancy and for the most part they succeed. My mother & I shared the pecan encrusted chicken, it was good (but I've made better). My father ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and again it was good, but nothing note worthy. The wait staff were very pleasant, and we enjoyed our dining experience.

They had about six or seven early bird specials for $14.95 if you are seated between 4 pm and 6 pm. We were seated with a beautiful view of lake. Inside has great bar area and great atmosphere. Lovely interior. Our waiter was extremely attentive and professional. We had a special appetizer that was some kind of warm dip with... More

Probably the best view of Lake Chatuge. The specials are a good value especially the fish and chips on Fridays.

The staff doesn't care. The food is inconsistent at best. It's a beautiful location and a shame it's not between managed.

You've got to try the double cut boneless pork chop with blackberry port wine sauce and goat cheese! It was one of the best meals I've had at a restaurant. Our meal began with a wonderful sun dried tomato bread with herb and seasoned olive oil for dipping. The bread was warm, moist, and very tasty. I could have made... More

This place is owned by same people as the Murphy restaurant, but different location, so this is confusing on TA. We were told by our waitress that it's the same menu. We had a booth by window w/beautiful view of Lake Chatuge. Hubby & I each had one of their lunch specials for $6.99, which was quite a deal --... More

Really quite nice in Murphy NC. Good service, nicely decorated and super food. Very varied menu. I did not eat at the number 1 ranked place but this restaurant would stand up even in a restaurant town

Murphy, NC- who would have thought this small town could have such great dining? We enjoyed a great evening meal and a delicious Sunday lunch- superb! Great service- fine dining. We were very impressed with the food, the setting, and the history!

The location was very definitely the best part of Chophouse. We dined here on a Saturday night and sat outside with a lovely view of Lake Chatuge. Could have been Lake Como! The food was ok but nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered the "Blackened Grouper" sandwich which was definitely talipia, not grouper. Why not just be honest about... More
