Was told to try Paul's Steakhouse in Helen. As it turns out we.should have found another place to eat! The calamari we ordered was exceptionally small.for.the.price. The conch fritters was.good quality and tasty! Entres.included.filet.of.sole with crabmeat. But too dilute. The peppercorn rib eye although cooked.to perfection was nothing to.write home about. The.waitress.was terrific and very accommodating., she deserves a raise!... More

We will never go back to Paul's to eat. Service was horrible, and both of us were sick as a dog after eating there. The waitress brought the wrong drinks, when you could find her to get a refill that is, and then did not bring out the sides that went with the dinner, and then when we said something,... More

Don't go here. I ordered a medium rare steak and got a super well done one. Sent it back and was hoping the new one was better. Wrong. No flavor at all, welI actually it did have a flavor... Charcoal flavor. I couldn't eat but a couple bites. It looked like it was cooked on a press to get the... More

I can not complain about food. It was good. Average , definitely nothing to write home about. Kinda bland. I had ribeye and wife had filet mignon. Cooked to order. And the service was excellent. Definitely not worth price. However I am from the Tampa Bay area. Where standards are much higher due to the abundance of competition.

Visited Helen in July with my family. Paul's has a good atmosphere, but the food is maybe average, not great for the high price. It is crowded with unknowing visitors who are about to fall victim to the not-so-great food they are about to pay highly for. The waiter was really nice and attentive, we left him a good tip,... Food was ok. Had to wait for table, waitress either having a bad night or has chose wrong profession. Prices higher than quality of food. Felt crowded and was noisy.

Let's me begin by saying this restaurant is stuck in the 70's. Our server had NO CLUE in regards to the menu. The wine list consist of just wine types with no prices, ie chardonnay, cabarnet, red, white...lol. Asked our server what kind of wine the chardonnay was, price of glass. He had to go ask someone and forgot to... More

My boyfriend go to Helen for the weekend every year & Paul's is always our favorite stopping point. Great place for dinner with the family or visit the bar for some drinks & dancing. The bands are always great as well.

Food was great but the serving size was too large for me. We could have ordered one entree & shared instead of so much food.Everything else was ok.A little pricey but we were on vacation & don't eat out a lot at places like this so we splurged.

We ventured out and tried somewhere we never had before. We had the new York strip and sirloin tips with onions. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't worth the $51 we paid for it. The steak was a good cut and cooked to the proper doneness but it had no flavor. It needed to have been marinated or seasoned... More
