The outside seating area on the river is comfortable and picturesque. The waite staff is pure southern charm, courteous, attentive, and helpful. I had the brats which were very good but nothing to rave about. The prices were comparable to the restaurants in a tourist town. It is a convenient, pleasant, place to dine with friends and family.

We had 10% coupon so we decided to give it a try. So... The schnitzel was so big, it wouldn't fit on the plate. Perfectly seasoned and super tender (I tried a bite just to know what it's like). Didn't care a whole lot for sides, but it's just my taste. "German hot dog" (Brat in Brod or something like... More

Called in for a beer and snack. Great sitting area outside with ceiling fans to keep cool. Table service a bit slow and server not really friendly/talkative. But the beer was good and the hummus and pita bread lovely.

Right on the banks of the Hooch, outdoor dining, very casual. We had a light dinner. Great sandwiches, lots of meat, fresh bread. Very friendly staff. When it started to pour rain, we finished our beer inside and watched a little football. Food was reasonably priced for a tourist town and beer was cold! What more could you ask for?!

We stop here every time we go to Helen (about twice a year). Right on the river with inside and outside service. Fabulous food and great service. Beer and wine only. Non-smoking except for area next to the parking lot.

We had not been to Cafe International in years, but went back in search of the great Ruben sandwich we had years ago. It was just as we remembered, yummy and messy! The best. The service was excellent, the location is beautiful and relaxing.

We chose this restaurant because it had what I like (not German food) and what my husband loves (German food). I didn't want him to miss out because he was so looking forward to it and he loved it! He got all the wursts. The environment was good, it was still early so no one was partying yet. You could... More

The sauerkraut did not have chimen and was not friend in lard. There were only 3 types of wurst and in small amounts; maybe we expected more from a German town. The hot chocolate was DELICIOUS and the hot cider was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress embodied Georgian hospitality. We also enjoyed the view overlooking the river.

My husband and I have been eating at this restaurant since 1997. The food, especially the Reuben, is excellent. While we enjoy our food, we are able to look out over the Chattahoochee River. The servers are always friendly and helpful. Yes, sometimes there can be a wait, but this is a busy little town and a busy restaurant.
