Old Time Supper Club

Very good food, in old style supper club. Prices are reasonable. Good bar. Special occasion type place.

Love this restaurant. My grandson favorite. The steaks and salads are great. Great for the family. Very friendly staff.

For years Poor Richard's was the place to which the kids took/went on prom dates because it was special (translate expensive and an impression had to be made). It has since moved from that historic location, and finally I have my turn to eat there. We have been a couple of times now, and I am not disappointed. The ambience... More

One of our regular go to restaurants. For the last 20 years, dates, friends, business and most often Family meals. Not a better house dressing in North America.

We have been to Poor Richards a handful of times and usually eat upstairs, as we were unaware of the hidden gem in the basement! We were told there was a wait but we could wait in the lounge. Little did we know that this was the last time we would dine upstairs! Not that we had not enjoyed previous... More

We enjoyed great margaritas and chicken nachos for Cinco de Mayo here. Great service. The best bartender. Be sure and try the relaxed back door entrance.

There was a diverse menu of good entrees and appetizers. There is a lot of privacy with the restaurants layout and a large bar area down stairs. The service was prompt and courteous. The food was well prepared and our beef entrees appropriately prepared and cooked. Good wine list and it is a quiet dining area.

Poor Richards is an awesome dining experience. Upstairs for more elegant. Downstairs for the more personal touch.

The service was the worst. The food was the worst ever. I am a long term customer and it should shut the doors.

Poor Richard's is one of the first places I ate at when I came to Gainesville 15+ years ago. It has always been consistently good. I've never had a bad meal there. It is our goto spot for the rear time we have to entertain someone for business purposes. The hot bacon dressing on the house salad is a must.... More
