I passed the fresh salad bar, scrumptous dessert pans, fried chicken and pot roast with potatoes and carrots to get to the vegetable offerings. Broccoli with cheese, green beans with whole pieces of ham, maccaroni and cheese, fried okra, fresh creamed corn, squash casserole to name a few were the very best in North Georgia. If you want to meet... More

I eat here at least once a week for lunch and am never disappointed. The food is excellent! As for the meats, I have had grilled chicken, grilled pork chops, lasagna, country fried steak, Asian grouper, chicken tenders, and the pot roast. I've heard rave reviews on their fried chicken and meatloaf, I've just never been a meatloaf type of... More

My wife and I have tried this establishment several times the food varied from fair to poor each time. Of course it is mass prepared cafeteria style food so that tells the story itself. We should have known better especially after the first time we tried it and found the food and environment only fair.

Longstreet Cafe is a classic Southern food icon in Gainesville. It's a place where almost everyone in town eats at one time or another, and the town "personalities" often hold court here in the morning. The food is excellent even though it's served off a buffet line (cafeteria style), and you can't go wrong with anything for either breakfast or... More

This is a high end buffet where you are just as likely to meet the Governor of Georgia as you are any attorney, physician, or businessman. You might even see Grannies and babies. The food is old time southern comfort food and includes lots of fried items such as chicken and fried meats. You can also try bbq and veggies... More

Good southern comfort food. Country buffet changes daily and rotates weekly. Food is consistent. Employees are not very friendly, but since its a buffet, it doesn't bother me.

Stoped by this resturant this is the one i think near Zaxby's it alot smaller than the one on the other side of town. Not much of a selection the employees on the other side of town are alot more freindly and the food is alot better than this place. Take the time and go to the other one not... More

Generous hot buffet cooked just like my mom did! Southern menu that changes daily. Roast beef and veggies or fresh fried chicken are specialties. Usually have 6 or more meat choices and a dozen vegetables. So good, a 'trifecta' is in order: eating at Longstreet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the SAME day! Ample seating and constant service that includes... More

Great food and a lot of it for a very good price. You get tired of the same chicken sandwich or burger. Go here. You will not be disappointed unless you forget dessert.
