Power Lunch!

I ate lunch here as a business lunch and had never heard of the place. That changed after one meal here. The food is really good. I had the fried chicken, seasoned green beans and creamed corn. Everything was tasty and the sweetened tea was to die for. It may not look like anything on the outside... read more

Love to go to Doug's Place once a week. Creamed corn and chocolate delight.... All the rest I'd just gravy.

Good Southern Cooking---famous meat & 3 type place. Good size portions, lots of fried items so be selective if health conscious. In an old gas station, so antique look. Those concerned with sanitation grade, note it is behind register?

Their breakfast is excellent. Good home cooking and ample portions. Vegetables and a variety of meats are served daily along with homemade desserts. The decor is definitely rustic. Nothing is fancy which adds to the charm of this place.

Stopped by with friends as we headed to the mountains for breakfast and again for dinner on our return home. Service was very good, friendly and homey. Food was good and reasonably priced. Décor showed many years of collecting and servicing the community and was clean and family oriented.

We stopped at Doug's on our drive up North. What a charming place with even more charming people!!! Being that the prices are lower than your typical fast food chain, I'm not sure how anyone can rate Doug's anything lower than a five. Food was good and served in a timely manner. When I pass through again, I'll definitely stop... More

I am a person always really looking for good comfort food and was excited to hear people talk about this restaurant. I am in a senior group in Cobb county so I hoped that they would like what I liked so I followed their suggestion. First, it is was very busy and hearing the people talk , the majority of... More

If you want to sample the charm and food of a small southern town, sit yourself down. The place isn't much to look at. The parking lot is unpaved. The chairs are old. The tables covered in vintage plastic tablecloths but the food is some of the best southern cooking you will find. Take the Emerson exit off I75 (there... More

Ok, so on the outside it looks like a place that needs a visit from Robert Irvine and the Restaurant Impossible crew, but do not let that deter you from going to Doug's Place! I went for breakfast and the staff was extremely friendly and bantered with the patrons in a way only southern waitresses do. The breakfast portion was... More
