We dined at Cajun Depot on August 14, 2014. We arrived at 7:50..the place closed at 8:00. The waitress welcomed us and told us to come on in.. Another table came in after we did.. no problem. Service was excellent. We started with fried crawfish tails and they were delicious. I ordered a large bowl of gumbo and was not... More

The Cajun Depot Grill, right next to the train tracks in Ellijay, Georgia, is a wonderful, affordable restaurant with a tasty menu of Louisiana-inspired classics, swift and attentive service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I was very happy with the crawfish etouffee and three sides. My wife thought her Chicken Louise tasted very good, but wished the sauce had been thicker,... More

This was my 2nd vacation trip to the Georgia mountains and I just Loved the Cajun Depot!!! Each time I visit I try a new dish. But my favorite summer lunch meal was the Blackend Shrimp Greek Salad! And of course the Sweet Tea! The ribs were spicy and melted off the bone. Yummy Yummy!! I'm not a fish eater... More

I had the andouille sausage poboy, and walked away with a smile on my face and a very filled feeling. Real southern hospitality, too.

Shortly after our October 2012 trip to this restaurant - which I reviewed - we tried again. That time - not only was the service pathetic - but the food was wretched as well! As much as we had enjoyed the restaurant in the past - we concluded we would probably never return... Last Saturday afternoon - we found ourselves... More

My husband and I live about 30 minutes from Ellijay, GA and decided to spend an afternoon touring around the area. We randomly chose to eat at Cajun Depot Grill after seeing it advertised in a local paper we picked up while walking through downtown Ellijay. I am so glad my husband was in the mood for Cajun food that... More

The Depot never fails. I would suggest going for lunch as the prices are great! The muffelatta sandwich was one of the best I've had outside of New Orleans! The crab cakes were fantastic. I love crab cakes but am very picky about them. In fact more often than not I am disapointed by crab cakes. This was not the... More

On a day ride on the scooter and a god friend suggested this place. The restaurant is not large but can seat around 100 or so, We had great service, great food and the atmosphere is pretty good. Will eat there again when traveling through; do yourself a favor and eat at The Cajun Depot
