Girls day in Ellijay

While vacationing nearby, we decided to shop in Ellijay and have lunch. Great selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. The tomato basil soup is wonderful! This is a quaint, cozy restaurant serving delicious soups and sandwiches. My husband and I had the tomato basil soup which is creamy and bursting with flavor. I had the signature chicken salad on a croissant. The chicken salad was some of the best I have ever had! I would order it on a different bread in the future..perhaps the... More

No, this is not the Canterbury Tales you had to read in English Lit. It is a nice little (emphasis on little) cafe in beautiful Ellijay Ga. We stumbled on to it a few years back and will occasionally make the 90 minute trip from Atlanta to have a nice lunch there. Seating is very limited, and in the warmer... More

Very good little restaurant for a good lunch. It is small but wait isn't too long, generally. Good salads and soups and desserts!

This is a higher class of sandwich restaurant, which did not please all of my family. I travel with two boys 11 and 12 and they did not place this restaurant as a go back. Service was great!

Stopped in mid afternoon and the place was crowded. Waitress said they were the only place in town open mid-afternoon on Mondays, Waited about 10 mins for a table - not too bad at that point. Ordered 1 soup and 2 salads but it took a long time to get food considering there was nothing to cook. Chicken Wild Rice... More

We stopped for lunch as it was highly rated and we're not disappointed. We ordered 3 different items and the soups were great. Once rain started we stayed for dessert which were a little pricey but huge but well worth it and ended up taking them home.

I'm a local resident and all I can say is we dine here almost weekly! I have NEVER had anything from the menu that wasn't awesome. Great service, great food, great location, and great take out if it's too crowded. Love the chicken salad!

We had lunch after the noon rush, so it wasn't that busy. The tomato bisque soup was excellent along with the mushroom brie soup. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious. My wife did pull her tomato off and comment "how can you not find good tomatoes this time of year". Tuna salad was simple and very good. Our server was... More

Chicken salad on croissant with chicken wild rice soup and pound cake were OUTSTANDING. Eat outside if it isn't too hot and watch life in a small mountain town go by
