I like the store for being able to buy imported products from Italy. Bigger selection than supermarkets. But the food and sandwiches still haven't overwhelmed me. I've gotten the mozzarella and tomato sandwich several times, but they're very chintzy on the stuff inside. There's more bread than anything else, which can be dry as they don't put on much olive... Off the beaten path in suburban Atlanta (Dunwoody) E. 48th Street Market is well worth seeking out. It's a family owned business carrying Italian groceries and serving up fresh pastas, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. You're family as soon as you walk through the door. It's small and always crowded, but that adds to the charm. It's one of those places... More

I love this place. Everyone here is fantastic and the food and service is great. Sam's hero is my favorite sandwich with a side of olives!

È. 48th Street Market is a small Italian grocery/deli in Dunwoody, Georgia. They offer some hard to find in Atlanta Italian delicacies. They also have prepared foods and sandwiches. Everything is fresh and delicious. It is family owned.

A friend at work recommended the place, so on my next trip through Atlanta the wife and I made a point to stop in and check it out. We bought a lunch and packed it in a cooler for a trip and ate it several hours later on the road. The sights and smells of the store brought back memories... More

We stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend and were very happy we did. The service was very helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding. We ordered a meatball hero, a ham and turkey hero, and linguine with bolognese sauce and meatballs for lunch. All of it was excellent. Lunch inspired me to buy 8 giant... More

If you come here often, I guess it's good. But if you are new to this joint don't expect much help from the staff on what to order. They aren't exactly helpful. My meal was good but portions are large. I would have liked some more help in ordering something that may be popular to try. I'm not inclined to... More

Had a great, quick lunch at this small Italian deli/market. The stuffed shells, mozzarella di casa salad, bread and iced tea (unsweet...in GA!) were all fresh and excellent. For locals, this would be a great place to pick up a delicious, homemade, take-out meal and bottle of Italian wine.

Have gone to E48th for quite a few years and why I haven't written a review is beyond me. The family knows their Italian food, how to bake bread, make mozzarella and on and on. He also stocks really good Italian products (polenta, '00' flour, olive oils, and wine. He (Charlie) is knowledgeable in all the wines and he covers... More
