Nice Neigborhood Italian Restaurant

We have been meaning to try Carbobara since it opened a few years ago and just never got around to it until tonight. It is always nice to have a good neighborhood restaurant close to home. The restaurant was full as this means that it is popular. The linguini Fra Diavlo was excellent as well as the... read more

The food was great, bordering on excellent. The service was painstakingly slow, which is such a bad thing as we had time to talk. Overall, worth it if you have the time.

Very small portions. Do not bring your appetite here unless you are on a strict diet or trying to impress one of the many pretty GA gals. I had the chicken parm which was overdone and tough over some average pasta and weak gravy. Do not remember what my friends ordered as it was not memorable - although the bill... More

Had a very enjoyable dinner with wife. A local place with friendly staff. We were not real hungry and waiter was helpful in deciding to split a Caesar salad and grilled trout. Both tasted very good and were sufficient portions. Since we had drinks before and were having coffee and desserts elsewhere, was an economical meal - only $30. Will... More

Ate here tonight and was very disappointed. The food was just sub par especially for a place with the ratings it has revived. The calamari was oily and not particularly tasty and the veal was overwhelmed with an unbalanced lemon caper sauce. Service was slow but pleasant. Over all a big let down for the money ($106 for an appetizer,... More

Excellent food, good wine choices, great owner. I love the Osso Bucco that is served with risotto. Good risotto dishes and daily specials. The wine list is not overpriced. Need reservations for Friday and Saturday

Visited for the first time on our way home on a Friday. Arrived in the evening just as they opened. We had heard great things from friends about their veal dishes. They were great! We had one of their Italian red wines and a California white. We are world travelers, so let's just say the wines were okay for a... More

Visited here for lunch several times and was always pleased. First time I ate here for dinner and was just as happy. Attentive service, authentic Italian food, and just delicious! My friend enjoyed a $5 Martini, the Thursday night special and a small prime rib. We shared a small salad. I had the chicken marsala, which was superb. Bread is... More

We were celebrating my father in law's 80th birthday. They reserved a nice table for us. Service was excellent. Food was very good. I particularly liked the fact that the portions were manageable. It sickening how often you go out and you can't see the plate for all the food on it. He likes a particular type of cake and... More
