Description: In both Hebrew and Arabic, the word "sababa" is slang for "awesome," "fun," or "cool." But it originates from Arabic poetry and literally means "ardent love," or "fervent longing." At Cafe Sababa, we strive to offer you an awesome, fun and cool culinary experience with our fresh, authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes including grilled chicken, fish, beef and lamb, and we hope you will develop an ardent love for our food and a fervent longing to visit us again and again. Chef/Owner Doni Tamli has over 25 years of restaurant and catering experience. A native of the seaside city of Acco, Israel, Chef Tamli brings his knowledge of the spices and cooking styles of the Mediterranean and Middle East and offers his unique versions of traditional favorites. Chef Tamli owns Cafe Sababa with his wife, Ann, a third-generation native Atlantan. Their two sons, Ariel and Gil, work in the restaurant as well. We offer dine-in, take-out and catering services. Cafe Sababa's lamb burger was noted as a "Dish Worth The Drive" on Atlanta Eats TV in November 2013. The restaurant was voted as one of Atlanta's top Middle Eastern/Eastern Mediterranean Restaurants in a poll by the Atlanta Journal/Constitution in 2012, and was honored by the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce as the runner up for the 2011 Best of Dunwoody "Good Eats" Business Award.

Best Babaganoush and tabuli I ever had. Service anticipated each wish. We're vegan, so no meat no dairy. Very good food. You can feel and taste - they really care about the quality.

Awesome Mediterranean food. Visited here many times and never disappointed. Usually eat here at lunch, but this visit was for dinner. Enjoyed something new, grilled chicken shish kebab. Came with a tasty yellow rice and grilled carrots. Ordered this with the super Sababa salad on the sise, which is a chopped tomato, cucumber and feta cheese salad. Everything was fresh... More

Ate here for the first time. Lunch was excellent. I had the hummus and ground lamb. Came with delicious warm fresh pita. My husband had the special, a lamb sandwich that was outstanding. Very friendly staff. Health rating 97. Can't wait to return for dinner.

The food is great, the price is fair and the environment is very good. It is a small place, but we always found a table.

Visited this wonderful restaurant many times and the food is always delicious! Great salads topped with a choice of mears, grilled chicken, grilled fish or falafel. Kabobs, sandwiches and lots of other terrific Mediterranean specialties. Their Cafe Sababa salad, with feta cheese, and chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, is especially good. I have eaten here many times and have never had... More

We heard about Cafe Sababa from friends and were delighted with the food. This is a simple small strip center cafe that serves excellent Mediterranean food. The humus and falafel were perfect. The special for the night was Moroccan Brisket over yellow rice. The seasoning was terrific and the meat tender. Early in the evening except families with kids. Great... More

Pleasantly surprised to find this strip mall restaurant packed at 6 PM on a Thursday night. Staff very friendly, efficient, and food very good. Prices average for this venue. You won't be disappointed.
