The five of us went here for lunch today. It had been awhile since we had been here but I thought we would give it a try. The BBQ flatbread and southwestern style egg roll appetizers were great...as were both the Prime Burger and House Cheeseburger. Both were on par with Houston's if not better. The Shrimp Louie special was... More

Here's a restaurant where I leave my usual attire of a t-shirt and sweatpants at home, dressing in business casual style. I enjoyed the very good Thai chicken salad. Two,members of our party tried the veggie burger. Don't know how J Alexander's does it, but the veggie burger tasted just like beef! Good service, very attentive. I suspect the restaurant... More

We have eaten at this restaurant several times even though we are from out of town. I ordered prime rib and was not able to eat it because it was so tuff. I sent this back and they brought me another one and it wasn't any better, so they replaced it with crab cakes which were good. By this time... More

Great food! Grouper with crab covered with lemon cream sauce - outstanding. Fish was wood grilled and cooked to perfection. Ribs were wood grilled, very tasty, meaty with virtually no fat. Generous portions. Drinks were generously poured and served as requested. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Manager stopped by to check on our meal. This is a... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant while trying to find a Walmart. At first glance, I automatically thought it to be a very expensive restaurant that required reservations. But upon speaking with the hostess, my two children and I were welcomed and seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly, as all of them seemed to be; and our food was delicious.... More

I took my relatives from Cincinnati for their 13 year olds birthday. The food was okay, portions were a little small. I had the prime rib sandwich, it was small, $18.00! Really? Marlow's Tavern makes one bigger and better for $14.00. I asked the manager whether they gave a complimentary dessert for our birthday girl. The answer I got floored... More

Had lunch recently with a friend at this location. I had not eaten at this location before, but it won't be the last. Front hostesses were super efficient - I was a bit early and asked to wait in the lobby, and did not even have to prompt hostess when my friend arrived - we were seated immediately. Noise level... My wife and I had an opportunity to have lunch with a business colleague and we chose J. Alexander's. We were greeted by a very pleasant and efficient hostess. We were seated promptly and the wait staff was very attentive. There were several lunch specials although a few were quite pricey. We all three ordered something different but all were... More

Great service & good food: The food was good but not worth the price. The service was great! This was the first time I've been for dinner-- lunch is more more reasonable.
