What a gem this place is! Yes, it is possible to find great food, moderately priced, with outstanding service, in the suburbs! The small plates were fresh and flavorful (meatball and bacon-wrapped dates were superb), and the entrees were fulfilling, yet not heavy like some Italian cuisine can be. The chocolate cake wrapped up a fantastic evening. This is a... More

Excellent service from the moment we walked in the door, our server was very professional in her presentation of the offerings for us, also made perfect suggestion for choice of wine pairing with meal. Clean quiet facility that we will most assuredly make another reservation for.

The overall experience was terrific. First time to this restaurant and the ambiance, wat staff, attentiveness, food and owner could not have been better. The plates are a testament to how good food can be when it is all truely hand made fresh. Traditional items are better than you remember them being, presentation is not pretentious just simple and well... More

Sugo is located in the back section of the strip shopping center of Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek at the corner of Wilson Road. It will be worth the drive. My wife and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and great food creations by Mr. Castellucci. Everyone calls him “Mr. C”. We have been dining there since we moved to the... More

I find it hard to believe this place has so many good reviews. From the piccata that doesn't have capers to the the calamari with "spicy aioli" the entire menu misses the mark. This menu oozes with "I went to culinary school so now I need to reinvent the classics". Oh and the owner who is supposed to be so... More

At the urging of a colleague, we brought 35 associates to Sugo's for a business presentation. Upon arrival, the room was exquisitely arranged and set up almost intuitively for our needs. A/V support was readily available and expertise was on site if needed. My colleague and I enjoyed several appetizers in advance of the presentation – they were amazing. The... More

By accident found this place and was very happy I did. The experience was one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The food was delicious and hot, the service was spot on. In going through the wine list we did not like two of the wines we tasted and the waiter suggested a different wine and... More

We discovered this fabulous restaurant several years ago when we moved to the Atlanta area. I can't say enough good things about this family owned gem, the great food, excellent wine list, atmosphere, service, etc. They always make us feel special the moment we walk in the door.

We were going to a friends recital and stopped by for dinner. This is one of the three restaurants the family own. (Iberian Pig & Double Zero are the others.) The owners really care about the guests and are hands on all night long. Nancy (the mother of the tribe) hearing we found one dish a bit bland brought us... More

The food is fantastic. The owners always make you feel like a valued customer. Their wine list is wonderful. This is not your discount diner, but sometimes it's wonderful to splurge. Give Sugo a try and you'll be in for a real treat!
