Good solid German food - as always

Went for dinner with friends and found the bistro great as always. Good beer and the atmosphere is very german. I had the smoked pork chop. Yummy. Service great and making you feel welcome. Only downside is parking. Can be difficult to find a space so be prepared spend a little time to find a... read more

I have been to Kurt's twice now, after yearning to go there for several years. Both times, one business and one friends, I have been very pleased. Having lived in Europe, I can be both a critic and a fan pretty easily for restaurants aspiring to the "Euro" moniker. With Kurt's I am a FAN without pause. Menu has a... More

We frequent this restaurant often. And that's because it is consistently good. Good food, good service, great selections of both beer and food. Just this week, we had dinner here again. We ordered the big pretzel for an appetizer with the three dipping sauces. I had the jäger schnitzel, which is always good. One thing you can't miss is the... More

I'm half German, and had early exposure to sauerkraut, spaetzle, and Brats. Despite my heritage, I've never frequented German restaurants. Kurt's is the real deal and worth a trip even if your not a German food fan. The Braised Red Cabbage and Riesling Sauerkraut are splendid if not a bit sweet. My wife and I have been there twice, once... More

Kurt's is obviously a little pricey so we don't eat here often but when we do, it has always been a great meal. My wife and her family lived in Munich for several years as my father-in-law was attached to the 66th MI; and they love Kurt's food both for its quality and the reminder of the time they spent... I'd hate to make my living one plate at a time. That's got to be tough. That said, this must have been an off night. This is my second review of Kurt's - this would have been a lower rating if not for a great time the first time. Truly, like a different place. We showed up around 7 without... More

Authentic German food is found here. I love the big pretzels! They come with three different dips. The spatzle is wonderful, too. And whatever you order, save room for the bananas foster for dessert. The owner himself, Kurt, makes it table side for you!

I went there 2 years in a row for The Thanksgiving buffet for $50 per person. The service was very sad! This year it was just my resident and myself. My resident choked and I had to perform the Heimlich maneuver on her so of course the food came up that she was choking on and went all in our... More

Duluth, GA was an overnight stop on our way back north from attending a wedding in Baton Rouge. After checking out some local restaurants, we were pleased to find good reviews here and on Open Table, so we made a reservation. The German dishes here are some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Hubby had the potato soup and I... More

My family has been going to this restaurant since it was in its old location. It's always been a favorite. This occasion was no different. Service was great. We ate outside this time and it was wonderful. And we got to see a whole congregation of cats in the backyard. :-) Food was great and ready quickly. Highly recommend.
