Coffe, pastries, & reading

Dancing Goats specializes (and sells) in Batdorf & Bronson coffee. They also offer all-too-tempting pastries and cookies. We like to get a coffee (OK, and maybe a pastry) and chill out reading a book.

I popped in for an afternoon mid-week coffee. It was moderately busy but it didn’t feel crowded. I chose a cookie and a medium late. I was able to grab a seat. Everyone was looking at their computers and cell phones. I miss the old days where people would read a newspaper or a book in a place like this.... More

We got a double espresso and a pourover coffee with some Ethiopian beans. Both coffees were really rough. Our boys got hot chocolate and an iced coffee which were a bit better. We ended up throwing the pourover coffee away. Save yourself a bit of money and find a better shop.

at first glance, this place looks more like a public office than a coffee shop. i saw more people planted and engaged with their laptops than i saw folks mingling and drinking lattes. i've purchased bags of beans before and the 12 oz bag price is comparable to most 16 oz bags i've purchased in the past. someone told me... From out of town, bought two bags after ordering pour overs (tried the El Salvador and Colombian) single origins, plus they have great blends, all bags list tasting notes which really helps.

Grab a cup of piping hot coffee, or iced coffee if that is your thing, and grab a seat if you can find one. This place gets a bit crowded but if you can find a comfy seat it is a wonderful place to enjoy a treat. I love to bring books or crossword puzzles here and just hang out... More

Went early this morning with my neighbor and sat outside enjoying a fresh cup of coffee and bagel. The morning air was nice and crisp and sat and said hello to passerby's People stop from around the neighborhood while walking their dogs and enjoy the great atmosphere of Dancing Goats and all of the friendly people who work there. Dancing Goats offers some of the best coffee in the city. I drink coffee every morning and DG is really good fuel. The pastry selection is better than most.

Freshly brewed Batdorf & Bronson coffee, excellent locally baked pastries. Nice atmosphere but can get crowded at times, and it's a bit pricey. Lots of "customers" on laptops; parking can be dicey some days. Service is OK -- a little slow at times, and none of the pastries are labeled so you have to point and they tell you what... More
