We had not been here since they moved. Same Tony owns and cooks. We really like this location because it is closer to our house. Easier to park. Now to the food. Just like it has always been-delicious fresh and flavorful. You can actually see you dinner being cooked if you sit at the bar . We ordered the falafel... More

Lawrence's Cafe has super tasty Lebanese food. They recently moved into a space just around the corner from our house, and we've already eaten there four times. I particularly like the falafel, kefta and the baklava. Very friendly servers.

Awful service unfortunately detracts from great food. On our first visit, we were seated in a middle of the restaurant table, and we were only served after waiving down a waitress to take our order (we'd been there at least 10 minutes). Once we were served, the food was great. Last night, we were seated promptly with menus, but no... More

I joined friends at the Decatur location for the first time. They had been long-time fans of the food at the Brookhaven location. We ordered a variety of items and shared and everything was absolutely delicious. My favorites were the hummous, chicken kabob and fried kibbie. The food was very good but most of all, I liked the family feel... More

Most middle eastern food in Atlanta is Persian so Lawrence's is a Lebanese treat. All the usual dishes: hummus, babba ganoush, kibbe, tabbouleh, kofta executed well. Who would have expected an excellent grilled local trout special. They have a modest beer and wine selection. Service is attentive and effective. Kitchen was slightly slow. We dined early so it was not... More

We love the new restaurant space of Lawrence's Cafe, which fixed the one thing we didn't like about the old location, the space. The food is always great and the prices reasonable, especially the vegetarian options like the Tony's Special. Tony and his staff have been serving Atlanta forever and have brought their warm, inviting atmosphere and great food to... More

I said it about the old location and I'll repeat it here. This is the best Lebanese food I've had anywhere within 250 miles of Atlanta. The tabbouleh is the best I've had anywhere, including New York, LA, London and elsewhere. Humus is also superb, as is his home made yogurt. The cheerful, well-lighted atmosphere retains a traditional, old world... More

Last time we were in Atlanta, Dec/Jan timeframe we noticed that Lawrence's on Buford Hwy seemed to be closed. It was our favorite place over twenty years ago as we frequented it for years. Over the last few years it had fallen a bit and we were sad. But it is now back and better than we remembered it. And... More

This was our 2nd attempt to try the new Decatur location of Lawrence's Cafe. The first time, we wanted to get takeout on a Saturday night, but they don't do it until 8:30 pm on Saturday nights. The second time, tonight, my daughter and I made it to the restaurant and had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Part... More
