Visited for lunch on a Sunday. Got the last table and boy were we glad we did. The food was wonderful - absolutely the best Croque Monsieur I've eaten outside of France and Belgium (and I've eaten a lot of them). My lunch partners also raved about the Quiche Lorraine and the Eggs Benedict. Also tried the house pate which... More

I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant during a recent visit with my parents in Decatur. It's tiny and I was quite surprised how busy it was on a Wednesday night (there are no less than 15 restaurants within 200 yards of this place). It's clearly a favorite for locals - including my parents, who have been loyal patrons... More

Great little restaurant in Decatur for any occasion. Food was first rate and the portions very generous. Nice wine selection also. I will definitely go back again..

This is our second visit! With friends, we enjoyed a fine, fresh salad, delicious entrees including trout, scallops, and coq au vin. Everyone raved about the fine food in this small culinary gem! We accompanied our meal with two bottles of a bright, white Bordeaux! Delicious desserts included apple, raspberry, almond bread pudding with caramel sauce and ice cream AND... More

I was reluctant to eat at Alsace given its German influence, but was pleasantly surprised by the food and wine. Very authentic and intimate atmosphere, just like Europe.

My wife and I visited for Sunday brunch. Cute little French cafe with really good food. Omelettes, crepes, they've got it all.

My wife and I hesitate to write a good review of Café Alsace for fear that when everyone else discovers how good it is, we will never be able to get a table anymore...it is that good. We have enjoyed this place often enough that we don't need the menu to know what we want to order. Alsace is a... More

I have been to Cafe Alsace a number of times and tried different menu items. The owner is from the Alsace region of France and the food is authentic. I have friends with relatives from this region and take them here when they're in town. The restaurant is small and cozy with items for sale on the walls and at... More

What a wonderful surprise! Cafe Alsace has been in Decatur for several years and we just recently had dinner there for the first time. Immediately on entering I felt I was in Europe....think Paris. Everyone's food (party of 5) was excellent. I have told all our neighbors and several groups about this gem in our midst. Looking forward to returning... More

Was there for brunch on a Sunday. Wonderful food and a small cafe atmosphere. It's on the square, so you can walk off those added calories after your meal.
