Just go and enjoy the unique atmosphere and food. Don't miss the desserts! Especially the Creme Bulee.

We stumbled upon this lovely quaint restaurant while looking for something out of the ordinary. That's just what we found. We were delighted with everything from the cozy atmosphere to the delicious food and wine. This charming small cafe is definitely a gem!

Everything at Cafe Alsace is perfect. The indoor decor is quaint and reminds one of French countryside (hence, Alsace), the staff are attentive, the price is fair, but, most of all, the food is "too die for." I attended Sunday brunch and wish that I could have had one of everything on the menu: assorted crepes, omelettes, and pastries. My... More

We rented out Cafe Alsace for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Benedicte was a pleasure to work with. The guests began their dining adventure with foie gras, brie, and assorted fruits. Benedicte's choices of red and white wine for the guests were splendid. She gave the guests 5 entrees to choose from and the entrees included a salad. All the food... More

Loved almost everything. Restaurant is a little small, but I have no idea about the amount of business it gets. The honey fig dressing is a must-get for salads. I got the speatzle aux champignione (sp?) and it was DELICIOUS.

Café Alsace is one of my favorite Decatur restaurants. The food is always fresh and excellent, as is the service. The crepe du jour often includes an assortment of ingredients which I would not think to combine, but the results always please me. Want excellent, French cuisine while wearing khakis? Then this is the place.

Do not be distracted by the Google and Yahoo Sunday hours for this restaurant. At least starting today (June 8) this wonderful French restaurant (really, it's just like being in France) serves a preset menu with limited choices that is simply fabulous. It's not every day that we run across foie gras but we had it this evening. Yum. And... More

Today we celebrated my wife's 50TH birthday. The visit here was a surprise for her. She has never eaten French cuisine (as well as I) and has expressed the desire to eat a Beef Wellington. Note: They accept reservations for a party of 4 or more. I made reservations this afternoon and had no difficulties. For starters, we had the... More

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at Cafe Alsace, and loved every minute of it. From the cheerful welcome from owner Benedicte to the wonderful pate du chef appetizer through the main courses (I had the choucroute garnie, my wife had the duck special) all the way to dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The place is busy,... More

The restaurant was very much French. By that I mean quaint, very small, decorated nicely and crowded. We went for Mother's Day. There were four of us so they accept reservations for 4 or more. Brunch ends at 2pm so when she told me that they only had a 1:30 reservation available, I was skeptical. But I accepted it because... More
