We have been to Community BBQ a few times but this is the first time I had their Kitchen Sink Salad. It was delicious! Salad was fresh and wet - I don't like dry salad leaves - I added pulled pork and a side of mac & cheese. The salad had the following: sliced apples, pickled beets, pickled mushrooms, green... More

Dinner here tonight with a friend. We loved the laid-back atmosphere, typical BBQ joint with authentic look, feel & taste. Great smoky smell wafted out through front door. Ordered at counter, food delivered to table quickly. Very nice, efficient personnel. Brisket sandwiches served on toasted & buttered Texas Toast - to die for. The brisket was tender, with a thin... Hadn't eaten here in several years so had lunch when in the area. My standard for a BBQ is a chopped or pulled pork sandwich which I ordered along with sweet tea and black eye peas. There sandwiches are served on toasted Texas toast and I prefer a tradition white bun. Having said that the sandwich was very good. It... More

I wanted to love this place and was excited to go. I totally expected something more and was disappointed in both the food and the atmosphere. Really there is no atmosphere and the whole experience was rather basic and not very impressive. All this could have been excused if the food measured up. Sad to say that was not the... More

As a Kansas City native, I know about BBQ. I love the brisket sandwich. You do not need any sauce on it. Also, the macaroni and cheese is GOOD. I sometimes order the redneck chicken salad which is a little different with the grapes and nuts added. I have been known to buy both and have my meals for the... More

I love this place! They barbecue pork, brisket, chicken, etc. and all of it is good. Last time I was here I had the pork and brisket with two sides- the macaroni and cheese is a favorite. I found the prices to be reasonable for the amount of food which is plenty to take home, plus they do take out... More

They have excellent barbecue-rack. We think their sauce is awesome! Also the sides the cole slaw and potato salad is good. It is average priced and the portions are large. You won't leave hungry, and it is my favorite bbq place currently.

This BBQ joint is owned by a few very talented chefs. They cook everything fresh. The sides really shine; sweet potato with kale, black eye peas with rosemary and bacon, great slaw. The ribs are rubbed, half rack provided leftovers for next day lunch. Pulled pork sandwich was also good. Vinegar- and tomato-based BBQ sauce is served. My husband has... More

I have gone here a few times, the second and third to give it another chance. Every time I have been, I have had pieces of fat in my sandwich. Of course, that is part of eating barbecue, but, I cannot deal with fat in my sandwich. In addition, I was not a fan of the mac and cheese which... More

I found nothing special. The smoke links were not freshly made or anything and the brisket has no flavor at all. They offer sweet sauce and vinegar sauce nothing spicy. The ribs were sweet and no real smoke flavor just mushy, fatty, ribs seems like they sit around a lot. i get better q out of the small stands in... More
