OMG Good!

Stopped into Leon's late on a Monday night to meet some family and friends. I had a few drinks to wash down my french fries and desserts. The fries come with several dipping sauces, one better than the last. I'm sure I ate about albs of fries to eat the sauces! The desserts were the same... read more

While on vacation i try to find non chain restaurants to experience. How this restaurant rated number 9 is beyond me. I would of rather ate at the neighboring Chipotle. At least there i know I would of received good food. I ordered the burger. Besides coming out practically rare and i ordered it medium well the condiments were so... More

Leon's was such an amazing spot to go to after getting married at the courthouse in downtown Decatur! They easily accompanied my party of 12 in the the small alcove of the restaurant (3 tables all close together). We started with a round of drinks (I must say that the beer list was exceptional). We started with appetizers and not... More

Have so enjoyed Leon's at each visit. Love the original menu and the local sourcing of products. Must try the bacon in a glass with peanut butter. This visit had the mussel pot for starters - wonderful and fresh. Then seafood broth - flavour were amazing! Topped off with a salted caramel amd bacon sundae - yes bacon whipped into... More

All we wanted was a Sazerac! But we had to eat, too. How to get a good flavor combination and keep it light? Our waitress (Sophie?) guided us through the eclectic menu and we were delighted with her suggestions! First, the Sazerac -- crisp and boozy in a good way, with a zest of lemon peel balanced on the rim... More

I love Decatur. It has a vibrant, quirky, almost Bohemian vibe. Leon's Full Service definitely has the beat of Decatur's pulse. The restaurant was once a full service gas station - hence the name. There is usually a wait, but that's good. It gives you the opportunity to have a drink at the bar, which features many interesting local beers... More

Small tapas type appetizers (hummus, pork belly, Brie, mussels, shrimp), salads, sandwiches, gyro, sides, and desserts aplenty and farm to table to satisfy every appetite. Gluten free menu available. Get the scallop entree. Trust me. Extensive beer options if you enjoy local brews.

Just good solid food with interesting specials. Add to that a great bar with bar tenders who know their beer, and mix drinks, and you got a strong combination. Add to that one of the few casual places to sit outside in Decatur and you have a winner

I have heard countless friends rave about Leon's but I am still confused. You know how a bunch of people can stare at a tree limb and people walking by will stare at it too without knowing why? That's Leon's. The food is fine, the layout and location are fine. Fine. Really, fine. Now let's all stop staring at the... More

I knew to expect eclectic offerings from this place - it's far too "industrial chic" and hip to be anything but creative...but that doesn't usually prevent me from ordering something I'll enjoy. This time my "gentleman's breakfast" was completely underwhelming and my son's French Dip tasted as though the meat was well past its prime. The best thing I can... More
