I don’t know Peruvian food from my elbow but these guys’ chicken is moist and delicious...and inexpensive. They recently moved into a space that formerly housed a BBQ joint a few blocks from the Decatur Square and it’s much easier to find than the original offbeat location, plus I think that one... read more

Sat at the bar, prompt service, very simple menu. Great chicken & white asparagus. Priced very reasonable. Staff was very gratuitous. Will go back

I am Peruvian, and when I heard of Las Brasas I knew I had to go there specially since it's inside the perimeter. My first impression when I walked through the door left me a bit confused, I was greeted in English even though I stated my greeting in Spanish, the music playing was American 60s (Beach Boys, etc) and... Stopped in after work on a Wed eve. We started with an appetizer. Then on to a delicious dinner of rotisserie chicken. Their menu consist of a-la-carte items. A variety of (table) sides. Will definitely go again.

We've wanted to try this for a while, after seeing it profiled on a GPB show. We missed going to its old location but we finally ordered takeout from the new location and weren't disappointed. We ordered a full chicken, which they quarter for you. It was nicely seasoned (the fridge smells nice with the leftovers) and the meat was... More

Eating here brought me back to eating pollo a la brasa in Peru. The chicken is simply delicious--full of flavor and juicy. The haucatay sauce was just right and accompanied the chicken perfectly. We also had the flan, with creme brulee quinoa, fries and pisco sours. The flan was good. The quinoa added an interesting flavor. The fries were spot... More

Well they finally opened in their new location. It is great that they now have indoor seating and a bar. The POLLO ALA BRASA remains wonderful, especially the Huacatay sauce. LOMO SALTADA is now available every day but is best enjoyed by dining in rather than take out as the fries get soggy when everything is in one container.I heard... More

Seriously, best chicken ever. Not any real seating, but I make special trips to Decatur to pick up chicken for dinner sometimes. The green sauce is amazing, and the beans and rice are better than average. It's also must more affordable than most Decatur dining. I only wish Las Brasas would move into the city!

I love this stuff and could eat it every day. The chicken was so flavorful that I was picking it from in between the ribs. Yummy skin, juicy meat, and a great price. Will definitely go again.
