This place is perfect for dinner. In fact, we have been there three Thanksgivings as we enjoy it so much. You need to make reservations early. This is ala cafeteria style. Atmosphere, personnel, and the food are excellent.

This is a lovely area. Sometimes the falls can be hard to see once the trees bloom, but there are observation places. The lodge has a buffet meal that is ok but very expensive in my opinion. Cabins are very rustic (no phone or TV) but have a screened porch that overlooks the woods which is enjoyable.

The hotel is beautiful - we went hiking and stopped in at the lodge the day before. Friendly staff and the food was tasty. The view from the lodge was pretty

Food was acceptable for it to be the only place within 5 miles of the park. I enjoyed the buffet and the staff stayed on top of request. Great if you want something quick, but if you want a really great meal take an adventure and find something better.

The Lodge and Maple Restaurant are part of the Georgia State Park system. The dinner and breakfast were buffets with okay foods. (biscuits were bland; stations of food were scattered. We missed one station altogether.) Dinner can be off the menu or choose buffet, but that was nothing to write home about.

We stayed in the lodge for a week this past June. We had previously stopped here just to eat in the dining room at this lodge. Depending upon the time of the year the chef either does nightly specials and menu or if the lodge has adequate bookings he will offer the buffet for all three meal times. They also... More

I have read the many reviews of this restaurant, but my family and I enjoyed the food. We found the food to be very basic, not alot of frills, and simply presented. By no means should it receive any culinary stars but I do not think you should expect too much from a rustic lodge in the mountains.

Breakfast buffet was cold. Food looked as if it had been sitting around too long. Dinner was reheated and rolls and desserts were stale.

This place is one of the only places open on Sunday in the area, and the food tastes like it. Dry prime rib. Dry chicken. Even the fried chicken was dry and falling apart. The three of us ate the "buffet" for nearly $75, and the only thing I felt leaving here was regret. Bring your own brown bag to... More

We stopped for lunch and was the worst meal ever! Every tray on the buffet was empty... Starting with the salad and fixings to the hot buffet. The food that was there was awful and ice cold! Hamburgers, but no buns, asked for buns 3 times and none were ever brought out. Pulled pork tray empty and again asked for... More
