Wow!

Once you find it, and it's not too hard to find, you will not want to leave. You can feel your blood pressure dropping the minute you are seated. Skipper' is more of a "compound". Stopped in at Skipper's for dinner with some friends. We were seated promptly as the restaurant wasn't really busy. The view from the back deck was very nice and with the heaters it was very pleasant. After we ordered our drinks and appetizers we began to notice that the service was getting worse and worse. Our server spent 20 minutes... More

We stopped here on an overnight drive from NY to Florida. The Bloody Marys were phenomenal. We had the best spiced peel & eat shrimp we have ever had. I had the blackened Grouper and Grits and my wife had the Crab Cake. We now want to stop in Darien, Georgia for multiple nights in the future.

We were very tired driving up the coast from Florida through Georgia and saw a billboard on the side of the road for Skipper's Fish Camp. Loved the name and were very hungry so we decided to stop. The seafood was absolutely the freshest, most delicious we've had. The crab cakes were fabulous, as were the hush puppies, cheese grits,... More

We dined here on a Friday night, arriving around 6 PM. It was not very crowded, and we were seated immediately. We ordered the buffalo style gator tail and calamari for appetizers. The calamari was excellent, but should have ordered the gator tail plain. Next we ordered a couple of cocktails, and they were decent, but not worth the price.... More

My husband and I both started with a crab stew that was good but too salty and too floury. We both ate fried oysters, some in a hogue and others in a salad. The oysters were so heavily breaded that all you tasted was the breading. The salad used packaged shredded processed cheeses and the bread used for the hogie... More

Just got back from a terrific dinner at Skippers. We have never been disappointed. The seafood is so good. The flounder was beautifully presented and was excellent according to one of our dinner partners. I ordered the fried oysters. -- yummmmm. The hush puppies were not the best I have ever eaten but they were okay. Definitely worth another visit... More

I liked Skippers. I got some ribs, which were pretty good for a place that specializes in food that swims. The service was also pretty good. I went with some friends. The place had a great atmosphere and seemed like a fun place just hang out and eat for a while. I definitely recommend it. With the tip included, I... More

Location was great as we were travelling home to Florida, it is just a hop, skip and jump off the interstate. The view is awesome! And the food....yummy.....fresh and tasty. Shrimp sand was delicious! Fried zucchini as an app was scrumptious. Don't pass this place up...its worth it!!!
