We travel from MD to FL and back several times a year and this place is always a must for lunch. Excellent, friendly service. Amazing seafood. Try the Charlie's Chowder. The grouper sandwich is the best we've had anywhere and the house-made tartar sauce is incredible. Anything fried is perfect. The sides are great, too. Only a few miles off... more

Some of the best seafood my family has ever eaten. The soft shell crabs are WONDERFUL!!! Shripm and whole baby flounder are the best I have had in a long, long time. Service is great. Everyone we've told about this place has raved about it. Keep up the great work Skipper's. more

While driving along some back roads in the area, we happened upon this fish camp. We were very pleased that we happened upon this place. The food was very good...nothing fancy but made with quality ingredients. The fried oysters were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Well worth the effort to find this spot. more

We have a house on Jekyll Island, so whenever we are in the area, we make a point to drive the short distance down Route 17 to Darian to eat at this fish camp. Our favorite is the Crispy Flounder. Best fresh fish we've found. My husband goes crazy for their sweet potato souffle. To start, you must try their... more

You know when you're just taking your time, driving on a long trip and want to try the local restaurants, hoping that someday you'll find that really good one that surprises you? Well that's what we got. In this very small, quiet community we didn't expect to find such terrific food. (I do have to warn you do NOT eat... more

The fried shrimp are the best I have ever eaten. My wife got grilled shrimp and she said they were wonderful. They have a sweet flavor that goes great with the cheese grits!! more

The "hot spot" in downtown Darien. Seafood is their speciality and the quality of our meals was excellent. Good service and selection of meals. The scallops were very tasty. Outside dining along the river is available during the warmer weather. Children can be entertained by the fish and turtles in the pond outside the front of he restaurant. Prices slightly... more

Best seafood in the area. If only they could get rid of the sand gnats! more

Serves me right for going at dusk, I suppose, but not even the flying teeth (purported by the locals to be gnats) would keep me away from a return visit to this place. Gotta love decent fried fish, particularly when it's friend this well and is this fresh when it goes into the batter. Tried the crispy flounder & scallops... more

I had flounder and it was fantastic. Great local setting. If you're looking for fancy - go somewhere else. But if you want unpretentious fresh seafood, this is at the top of my list. more
