The service was very good and as always a great River view to enjoy.

I've been to skippers many times and have occasionally been disappointed but not today. Our server Robert was pleasant , efficient and took the time even though he was extremely busy to check back frequently and see if we needed anything. Best Waterfront in Darien for a cold drink and great Georgia fried shrimp! Onion rings are killer fres batter and boy are they tasty! Let's talk Oysters take a pass unless you like shucking? which here in the South I prefer some Hospitality and like them shucked for us! So take the menu literally Don't expect the same all the... This had good food and a great view. Not sure but we had a long wait. They had a few special events doing on at once, so a long wait. Pleasant.

We loved Skipper's Fish Camp; and, it was the reason for our stay in Darien. A friend had been there before; so, we showed up for lunch the first day; and, dinner both nights. We ate lunch in the bustling dining room; and, the dinners up in the oyster bar. Everything we had was delicious and fresh -- Raw Oysters,... More

My mother has cruised the I.C.W and toured through all the choice seafood restaurants. The cruisers have a "hit list" and this restaurant is definitely in the top 5. Now since this list spans between Key West to New York, you know it's worth a stop. I ordered the crab soup (A-mazing) and the half and half combo platter with... More

The food was exceptional with really fresh local shrimps, oysters, and seafood. My only complaint was with the service which was gracious but a little disorganized. Definitely worth a visit!

(This is for the oyster bar side of the establishment) Rustic small local venue in an exceptionally interesting setting located in picturesque historic quiet little fishing village. Bring your camera. They have a great indoor cabin type dining room and an outdoor dining porch. I consider the view exceptional. You are seated overlooking the salt marsh, river and shrimping boats.... More

We found it by accident on our drive back to Florida from South Carolina. It's in the middle of no where but it had a nice view of a waterway. We sat outside and it was nice. The food was good. We had the buffalo gator for an appetizer and it was really good. I had the shrimp hoagie and... More

We have been to Skippers previously, but this visit was a complete disappointment. I ordered salmon and was told it wasn't done yet and then ordered crab legs. The most expensive item on the menu. When my meal came, it was the worst I've had. They were water soaked and tasted very old, like they had been suiting in water... More

Traveling through Georgia, we stopped to spend the night in Darien. The receptionist at the hotel suggested we eat at Skipper's Fish Camp. That was a great suggestion. It was Saturday 6 PM so we had a 20 minute wait, but it was worth it! My husband had shrimp and I had oysters. Both were cooked to perfection. We sat... More
