I have review this place at least twice before but anytime I eat here I like to update my review. Again, this is just a great little place on the water to eat in Darien, Ga. It's right at the bridge off of the Coastal Highway, Rt. 17 and probably not far from I-95. If you're on I-95 North or... More

We saw the billboard signs on I-95 and I convinced my wife to stop. We sat outside by the oyster bar and were immediately greeted by our waiter. The menu has great variety and heavily influenced by the Bay and Southern food. The fish of the day was incredible and the fried okra was the best I have ever had.... More

Great seafood in Darien GA with super atmosphere near river. However it is hard to find with no signage on Route 17.

We discovered Skippers five years ago while wintering in St. Simons and it remains our favorite, "Gotta go to..." restaurant in the area. The cook here could not turn out a better meal if he was a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu. The sweet potato casserole is to die for (they don't disclose the recipe), and the GA fried shrimp... More

Try the stuffed pork chop. A pork chop stuffed with sausage and wrapped in bacon. The holy trinity of pork!

My flounder and blackened shrimp were delicious and wait staff was courteous. Pricey meal for those budget conscious. About 2x cost of reputable national chain operations. Atmosphere is relaxed. So if you don't mind paying for their interstate signs pay them a visit.

If you go, Eat the fried Georgia Shrimp. My wife and I shared a fried shrimp plate and the children ages 11 and 14 shared a fried seafood platter. The dish was lightly fried and service was great. Great place to eat.

Saw a billboard on HWY 95. Had enough of idiot traffic. Decided to venture off and glad we did. Pulled into this lil downtown area and found a gem. Decided to eat in there oyster shack smoke house instead of the restaurant. Looked like a fish camp and hunting camp. fireplace blazing and and local music playing. Servers were over... More

Stopped here on our way up I-95. Really neat location. Got seated after a short wait on the deck. The food was excellent. We got a dozen raw oysters (for 14.99!!!!) that were delicious. Then my son had chicken fingers and Mac and cheese. Awesome- not "kid food"- fresh made. I got fried shrimp, cheese grits (a little thick but... More
