It was a Saturday evening and not very many customers. Two members of our party had eaten here 5 or 6 times prior, and had great experiences those times...tons of great seafood with food to bring home afterwards. Don't know if the chef was having a bad day/in a bad mood/ or what, but this was to be a dinner... More

The experience begins as you pull up into the carpeted parking lot and continues inside with eclectic decor including a VIP table in boxing ring setting with dollar tree seasonal decorations, collectibles and mismatched furniture and pictures of patrons everywhere. Not a space was left bare....it felt a bit like eating in somebody's living room...only thing missing a velvet couch...although... More

Just as the other reviews say, a little scary and not sure what to expect when you drive up to this place. But, I heard the food was great and that this would truly be an experience to remember for a lifetime. It truly lived up to that! No other place like this in the world. Extremely friendly staff and... More

We were visiting family close by and they had been here to eat and wanted us to try it. I will be honest when we pulled off the main road it was a bit scary. We were greeted by one of the waiters and then taken back to the main dining room. The chef comes out to meet everyone and... More

US Military Vets MC from three chapters in South Georgia were looking for a Sunday afternoon destination and Old School Diner was where I picked. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation time, but we were welcomed right in. With a group of nearly 20, it could have been quite a load on the servers. No problem at all!... More

We came here based on Trip Advisor reviews. First of all, this place is 20 miles outside of Darien, so not really sure how it gets rated as a Darien restaurant. Driving up is a treat in itself, arriving to carpeted driveway, outside toilets and barking dogs. We were welcomed warmly and led to our table with a smile. The... More

A friend of ours brought us here. We drove passed the plant filled toilets aligning the drive and pulled into the carpeted parking lot and it only got more interesting from there. We ordered the Wagon Wheel, because you should "trust your chef". The amount of food was incredible, and i am a chow hound. This area of the country... More
