Great seafood place with amazing friendly service. Off the beaten path but worth the search.

Thanks, Suzie. For the great directions. "Between the smallest church in America and the next church". Why settle for fast food off 95 when gems like this exist?? We will definitely return to try other items from the menu. The hush puppies were the best I've ever eaten. Steamed oysters and shrimp... read more

This restaurant is not on a major highway (though it is close to I-95) nor are there huge billboards of advertising. In fact it is hidden back in the woods and will require GPS, a map, or a dining partner who has been there before to find it. But, once there, It will be worth your effort. The wait staff... More

Out of the way this converted school house offers a nice atmosphere and wonderful food. Seafood is served in generous portions.

My wife and I live in Savannah. The trip down to the Old School Diner takes about an hour from our home but the trip is worth the drive. Such an interesting place, filled with memorabilia and photos of past patrons. The food was fresh and delicious. Chef Jerome made a tour of the dining room greeting diners and visiting... More

This is a very unique location. Shabby Chic bordering on just plain shabby, but that is part of the charm. Chef Jerome is an engaging man with plenty of time for his guests. I have been here 7 or 8 times and have always had a great meal. The wheel chair platter is the standard for me, but the fried... More

Where do I begin---the location of the Old School Diner is a time travel experience! The decor is so personalized by Chef Jerome and you can't believe the memorabilia that surrounds all the dining rooms. The menu of seafood and "down home cooking" was overwhelmingly divine! Chef Jerome shared the story line of the diner and he is quite captivating... More

We have eaten at the Old Scooll Diner numerous times and the food and experience has always been 5 stars! This was the most amazing ever as we arrived late with no reservation and found the restaurant closed. Disappointed we sat in the car a few minutes to figure out Plan B when there's a knock on our car window.... More

The Old School Diner was everything we expected and more. The shrimp were butterflied and fried to perfection...best I've EVER had anywhere. The head waitress served us and gave us a tour of the restaurant with very thorough explanations of significance of many of the Chef's decorations. I cant remember her name but she is a gem and an asset... More

The Old School Diner is a quaint, unusual Resturant with delicious seafood and other local cuisine. Chef Jerome has made the Diner into one of the finest seafood restaurants around. We had the shrimp sampler which included the delicious fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, and stuffed shrimp. The stuffed shrimp has Chef's own recipe with just the right seasoning on the... More

It was a Saturday evening and not very many customers. Two members of our party had eaten here 5 or 6 times prior, and had great experiences those times...tons of great seafood with food to bring home afterwards. Don't know if the chef was having a bad day/in a bad mood/ or what, but this was to be a dinner... More
