I did not expect such a beautiful restaurant at the old depot here. It was a treat to visit the location, since we had visited the Kennesaw museum and learned about the Great Train chase. As my son looked out of the windows waiting for a train, I enjoyed the delicious friend green tomatoes appetizer. We both enjoyed our lunch... More

Went here on a Sunday afternoon & enjoyed their "buffet". It was very good & very reasonable priced. It was very nice, relaxed and didn't feel crowded or rushed. We enjoyed it! Will definitely go back next time in Dalton.

Had dinner her with the wife. Was very surprise at the food quality ans portion size. This is one of Dalton's best kept secrets. It's off the beaten path downtown along the R/R tracks. Well worth the time to find and try.

Spending the night in Dalton while traveling and went to this restaurant based on mostly good Trip Advisor reviews. It was 7:30 on a Saturday night and the restaurant was dead--almost empty by the time we finished up our meal, which seemed strange. The "tavern" (bar) looked busier. Food was okay, but my grilled seafood platter was disappointing for the... More

Kids love going here, we always sit out besides the tracks. They stand in their seat to watch the trains that are coming by every 5-10 minutes. My favorite has been the local grown Angus burger. My wife loves the green tomatoes that have goat cheese on top. Come hungry.

The Tavern and Restaurant have a great classic décor. We went on a Saturday and it was not really busy. My party all had the 8.99 Sandwhich plates. Both the grouper and the cheesesteaks were outstanding. The fried green tomato's with the goat cheese were some of the best Ive ever had. The service was very friendly and attentive.

I travel through Dalton Georgia on business about once a month and I always look forward to eating at my favorite Dalton restaurant. The Dalton Depot has been around for at least 20 years as a restaurant but much longer as a historical location. There is even a center of Dalton Marker inside the lobby. The food is always great... We've eaten here several times, and each time the food has been superb. They have an excellent variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The trains that went by each time during dinner give an added "ambiance" to the dimly lit dining experience. We went to the bar area for some great live... More

My wife and I love to frequent this restaurant on our date nights when we have a baby sitter. The bourbon steak is to die for - mouth watering good and the house flammini dressing is lip smacking good according to my wife. The only downside is that sometimes the lobby area and front door area fills with tobacco smoke... More
