This place is on the main square and looks inviting as you walk by. We decided to give it a try and were very impressed. My wife ordered the Crabcakes, and I ordered the Sea Bass. Both our entrees were delicious and the presentation was great. We both had asparagus and potatoes for sides. They were great also. Back Porch... More

Been wanting to try the Back Porch for some time and finally got the chance. Great service, small wait but expected when we walked up. Good choices on menu even the bus staff make sure your doing well. I ordered fried shrimp and scallops. Shrimp was way overdone, don't believe I have ever had shrimp that tough. Scallops were perfect... More

Visiting Dahlonega on an anniversary getaway and a friend told us that we had to try Back Porch. We were glad we did the food was excellent and the service exceptional. We arrived almost an hour early for our reservation and despite being a busy night the owner said not a problem and found us a table and continued to... More

What a pleasant surprise to find fresh seafood. We had oysters Rockefeller - simply amazing. The fried shrimp had a light batter which made it better than most restaurants. My rainbow trout must have jumped straight from the river to the skillet -so fresh! Our server, Erin, made our lunch very enjoyable and fun. What a wonderful experience. Our dog,... More

Being from Florida, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the seafood. Oysters from north east were very fresh. Local trout prepared with taste. Decent prices. Owner does a great job. Small dog friendly porch in front.

We ate indoors downstairs and there wasn't much atmosphere but the service was very good and the lunch was extremely good. I had the clam chowder and it was definitely one of the best I have ever had - not too heavy, fresh clams, and nice flavor. The salad was good and the goat cheese fritter with the jam was... More

I treated a friend to a very special meal on Mother's Day here this year. We had Crab Cakes Benedict and I have to say that they were absolutely fantastic. The restaurant was very full for a special brunch menu and everything we tried that day met and exceeded our expectations. I enjoyed chatting with the host and with our... More

We reserved a table for 7pm and were seated promptly inside. Sadly, it was near the kitchen door, but besides that, I have no complaints. It was a busy Saturday night and we had a bit of a wait for our food after ordering. The manager brought us a free shrimp cocktail of 8 jumbo shrimp for the inconvenience. I... More

A great place to come for lunch or dinner. Most fun for sitting on front porch and people watching or sitting on the back porch enjoying your meal. A must do when in Dahlonega!
