Incredible dining experience!

I may be a local but have not been for dinner since it changed ownership. I went with my wife and another couple on a Saturday evening. We made reservations, which turned out to be a good idea since seating was limited with the outside dining area closed because of unusually cold weather. I had... read more

This pleasant restaurant in downtown Dahlonega has some very nice dishes, with a decent selection of local wines, and the staff are very sweet and eager to please. The food seemed kind of heavy to us, but we are not from the South and we find Southern food heavy in general. We thought everything was well-executed and enjoyed our meal.

My wife and I received a recommendation from a local winery we had just visited. I'm so glad the told us about The Corkscrew Cafe! It was a Sunday afternoon just before 6, not crowded at all. the cafe can only seat about 30-40 people. Short menu, but something for everyone, fish, steak, chicken, etc. we both opted for the... We loved this place. It's small and quaint, tucked away on a side street near the theater. We had delicious food and the server was energetic and gave us great recommendations. We will be back.

We have not yet dined here, but the menu and reputation of the place indicate that it is one of the best if not THE best fine dining experience in Dahlonega. What we did find one evening during a summer visit in 2014 is one of the best local live music experiences that we have stumbled upon. After dining elsewhere... More

Had dinner as couple at Corkscrew Cafe in historic downtown Dahlonega. Parking appeard to be only curbside, but was right outside and it was not a busy time of year for the town. We just did a walk in without reservations and they were readily able to accomodate us. The restaurant is small and cozy and appears to try to... More

This used to be our favorite lunch location. The menu has certainly changed since we were in college at North Georgia ten years ago, but we have always returned back to visit Corkscrew Cafe for lunch every now and then. However, our latest experience will be our last for sure. The lunch menu does not seem as good as what... More

We were going to a photography exhibit at NGCU so we stopped for dinner first. Hadn't been for awhile, but it was just as good as we remembered. They are redoing the wine list so the pickings were a little slim, but we found a lovely Chilean carmenere and enjoyed it thoroughly. We split a Caesar salad (plenty for both,... More
