Very nice atmosphere; great menu items and good food. We were seated right away on a busy weekend evening. The staff was very friendly; a good selection on the menu and good specials. I think it is a little on the pricey side, though. There is an outdoor dining, which is a little historical. We have been here before and... More

We were in town for a wedding and stopped here after reading good reviews. The staff was very friendly and gave us a mini history lesson on the restaurant and how it was a working jail until the 1960's. My kid's favorite part was using their bathroom and seeing the old jail. My mother in law and I really loved... More

The food here is perfectly fine. Good even, though certainly not inspired or inspiring. Plus, at this price point (some entrees over $30.) I expect that I'm also paying for the dining experience. Cheap, flimsy silverware, cafeteria quality plates, ugly tablecloths and paper napkins don't really make for a fine dining experience. When I said I was allergic to milk... More

Our second visit did not let us down! First, the manager and waiter were incredibly friendly, attentive and knowledgable about food, wine and the surrounding area. The locally baked table bread and pesto are out of this world. The eggplant dish and orange dressing on the salad were delicious and the tastiness of the Nutella creme brûlée goes without saying.... Don’t let the small space lead you away from the wonderful food served here. The service was friendly, informed and “on time”. The food was very good; we started with the Shrimp dip and it was delish. He ordered the fillet, I had the tuna and both were excellent. We paired it with a local wine which made it just... More

Excellent menu and service. Menu is comparable to restaurants in greater Atlanta. In the summer, there's a nice deck around back for more casual dining.

Dinner tonight was great. My wife had duck breast over basmati rice that she loved. I had the filet with a portobello Demi glacé that was outstanding. We started with the cheese plate, and it was nice to see that they put some time and thought into the contents of it. The manchego eas fabulous. Our server was Sydney, and... More

Without planning, we might have missed the Corkscrew Cafe. So glad we knew to find it. Delicious dinner, wonderful local wine, great server, and friendly owner. Hope to return, not just to the Cafe, but to one of the wine tasting dinners they do with Syvan Valley Lodge.
