Excellent food and atmosphere

Our family had lunch during a brief visit to Dahlonega. We happened upon Corkscrew at lunchtime. We all had excellent dishes, and the service was perfect. We would come back again for lunch or dinner.

We were in Dahlonega for a family wedding and stumbled upon the Corkscrew when we couldn't find where we were staying (one of the Dahlonega Square Villas). The owner came outside with my husband and pointed the way to the hotel. We came back for dinner which was outstanding (I had the celery root puree to die for with a... More

We were regular patrons of the Corkscrew until the end of 2014 when the menu yand staff seemed to come unglued. We had heard that there was new management and a new menu so we thought it deserved a try. We tried the tomato bisque and the pretzel, both were very good. When we ordered $32 ribeye steaks we were... More

Food was good quality and served by a friendly staff, although they did bring the courses out of order.

We've been here for dinner but stopped in for late lunch/early dinner after a hike at Amicolola Falls and wandering around the square, listening to the bluegrass jam session on a Saturday afternoon. They have a great enclosed back "patio" area and an lower service bar which would be great for an evening drop by. Ordered off the dinner menu,... More

We ate lunch there and the salads, burgers, and chicken salad were all great. The pickles are very spicy and the people at our table did not eat them. The next day I planned and attended a Bridal Luncheon there. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The best part of the luncheon was the attentiveness, flexibility and accommodating manner of the staff.... We loved our lunch and the friendly, welcoming staff. On a muggy day over 90 degrees, we ate on their enclosed, air-conditioned deck and it was delightful.

We didn't eat dinner here but the menu looks great. I'd definitely go back for some of their entrees. We had great desserts - brownie sundae kind of thing and creme brulee. Wine list was very nice and affordable.

The food was good, the staff very accommodating. Reasonably priced. Parking was easy and close by. Their Steak Quiche was delicious.
