We enjoyed listening to the music and liked the intimate performance venue. The food, however, was very disappointing. We had eaten there in years past and found the food to be average. This time, however, it was not. There was not enough flavor. I got the blackened grouper. The texture was too soft and wet. Next time we will eat... More

Although I've ALWAYS enjoyed my meals at "the Moon", I only make the drive to Dahlonega to listen to music. They book great acts - from John Cowan to Montana Skies, I've never heard a bad show there. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is very laid back, the food is tasty with lots of vegetarian options. Go for a... More

This place looks like one of the hole in the wall places that face the town square in Dahlonega, but try it. I ordered a unique salad, which was very good. There was a large selection of hot tea which my wife enjoyed. Reasonably priced. Good entertainment in the form of music provided by local band is offered regularly.

We recently spent a couple of days in Dahlonega, GA. Wonderful town, nice people, great shops. Lots of places for lunch and dinner. But we couldn't find a good restaurant for breakfast! After talking with the townspeople, we were told about the Crimson Moon Cafe. They have amazing breakfasts! All home-made, cooked to order. We had the eggs, bacon, potatoes,... More

The Crimson Moon is a funky little restaurant on the square in Dahlonega GA. Their lunch sandwiches are unique and good. I enjoyed the Fancy Grilled Cheese and sweet potato waffle fries. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. I would enjoy going back to The Crimson Moon and trying another choice. The restaurant is also open for... More

My wife and I traveled to Dahlonega for a short over-night stay; after shopping the morning away we stopped in the Crimson Moon for lunch; good selection, without offering to many choices. We enjoyed the deck on the 2nd floor which gave a great view of the square.

The food and waitress were both very good and the prices were quite reasonable. The only issue I had was that we had to wait about 15 minutes when we first walked in before a hostess greeted us and were told there was still a 15 minute wait even though only half the place was filled. After ordering it then... More

The only server there was friendly, but overworked, the deep fryer did not work so certain menu items were off the list.

Please eat somewhere else in this quaint mountain town. This place is the worst place in town for many reasons... Food, service, owner, entertainment, etc... I wonder how it is still in business.

We were here for dinner 10 years ago and liked it. This time we came for lunch. The server, Muriella was very nice and professional. The food was very mixed. We ordered mostly vegetables. My broccoli was good. The cooked greens tasted like gherkins--over-sweetened and pickled. The mixed veggies were rubbery and tasteless--maybe from a frozen veggie bag and microwaved.... More
