This is a MUST TRY, ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST. Oh my goodness, not even a sausage fan, but you must try theirs. Homemade there and was so good that I had it BOTH mornings. Such neat dishes, live entertainment as night and just a COOL BUILDING, make sure to visit upstairs!!!!

I stop in here every time I'm in Dahlonega for a fancy grilled cheese sandwich (not your ordinary grilled cheese!), sweet potato waffle fries, and a Terrapin Rye Ale. Those sweet potato waffle fries are amazing! I love the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service and hope to stay for the music one of these days.

We have eaten here before and decided to go back to a known place that is consistently good. The meatloaf sandwich, tarragon chicken salad and southwest wrap were all excellent. Sweet potato fries excellent. A small selection of draught beer, lots of bottled beer and a coffee bar in back. On Sunday an impromptu group convenes to play bluegrass which... More

Shawn Mullins and opening act Jason Chiles were outstanding! Food and staff was great also! I felt very welcomed there.

We enjoyed listening to the music and liked the intimate performance venue. The food, however, was very disappointing. We had eaten there in years past and found the food to be average. This time, however, it was not. There was not enough flavor. I got the blackened grouper. The texture was too soft and wet. Next time we will eat... More

Although I've ALWAYS enjoyed my meals at "the Moon", I only make the drive to Dahlonega to listen to music. They book great acts - from John Cowan to Montana Skies, I've never heard a bad show there. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is very laid back, the food is tasty with lots of vegetarian options. Go for a... More

This place looks like one of the hole in the wall places that face the town square in Dahlonega, but try it. I ordered a unique salad, which was very good. There was a large selection of hot tea which my wife enjoyed. Reasonably priced. Good entertainment in the form of music provided by local band is offered regularly.

We recently spent a couple of days in Dahlonega, GA. Wonderful town, nice people, great shops. Lots of places for lunch and dinner. But we couldn't find a good restaurant for breakfast! After talking with the townspeople, we were told about the Crimson Moon Cafe. They have amazing breakfasts! All home-made, cooked to order. We had the eggs, bacon, potatoes,... More

The Crimson Moon is a funky little restaurant on the square in Dahlonega GA. Their lunch sandwiches are unique and good. I enjoyed the Fancy Grilled Cheese and sweet potato waffle fries. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. I would enjoy going back to The Crimson Moon and trying another choice. The restaurant is also open for... More

My wife and I traveled to Dahlonega for a short over-night stay; after shopping the morning away we stopped in the Crimson Moon for lunch; good selection, without offering to many choices. We enjoyed the deck on the 2nd floor which gave a great view of the square.
