Loved this Place Last time

We loved this dinner and music venue on our last trip but to our disappointment it was closed for repairs to the building this time. A group of women friends went here for lunch. The waitress was. Sweet, but the food was horrible. Barely warm, salty, vegetable soup and a burned grilled cheese with cheese that was tasteless. I think stick to this as a music venue.

The music is the draw here, understandably so. As the food and service leave so much to be desired. We wanted a memorable anniversary dinner, and prepaid for seating earlier on a Saturday afternoon for that evenings performance. The one man acoustic act was good (can't recall his name) but everything else paled in comparison. First, the seating is awkward,... More

Went to see Roxie Watson in concert which was wonderful. I ordered steak and bake potato. Steak was very fatty but cooked the way I wanted it. My baked potato wouldn't even melt my butter or cheese it was so cold. Then I ordered a mix drink. It was $8 and was barely in a glass not much bigger than... More

We live in Dahlonega and love stopping by Crimson Moon to see who is playing. The venue is small and personable. I can get rather loud depending on the music style (everything from blues, folk, bluegrass, country, jazz). The food is a little pricy but worth it for the added entertainment. We especially like the homemade biscuits and gravy on... More

Heard some great music here. This is a very intimate setting, where visitors are encouraged to sit and listen to the artists without a lot of talking. Of course you can talk quietly and interact with the artists, but when you order food and drinks, it is expected that you respect other people's listening experience by being quiet. Good Beer... Had a really nice time seeing Von Grey. It's small(which is nice), and the room has no bad seats, and attracts some impressive talent. The food was passable, and with modest improvement, this place would easily rate an excellent.

We drove up to Dahlonega from Atlanta to see the fantastic Erick Burke, a singer-songwriter of some repute, at the Crimson Moon Cafe. This was our first visit. The room is intimate, seating perhaps 200 people at tables of four or eight. It is a dining - concert experience. The building, off the edge of Dahlonega's historic square, was built... More

It has been a while since I have been here. Usually it is for lunch. A friend and I went on a Wednesday. Other restaurants we tried to get into had waiting lists so we decided to go to Crimson Moon Cafe. Lighting was very dim, chilly temperature inside and only 2 other couples. That should have told us something.... More

Just off the square, it is a throwback to days gone by! Love the old hardwood flooring and plank walls! They have great local live music some nights and weekends. The food is absolutely delicious….great omelettes, but all of the food is yummy!
