We drove up to Dahlonega from Atlanta to see the fantastic Erick Burke, a singer-songwriter of some repute, at the Crimson Moon Cafe. This was our first visit. The room is intimate, seating perhaps 200 people at tables of four or eight. It is a dining - concert experience. The building, off the edge of Dahlonega's historic square, was built... More

It has been a while since I have been here. Usually it is for lunch. A friend and I went on a Wednesday. Other restaurants we tried to get into had waiting lists so we decided to go to Crimson Moon Cafe. Lighting was very dim, chilly temperature inside and only 2 other couples. That should have told us something.... More

Just off the square, it is a throwback to days gone by! Love the old hardwood flooring and plank walls! They have great local live music some nights and weekends. The food is absolutely delicious….great omelettes, but all of the food is yummy!

Went for dinner and blue grass and was not disappointed! The food was good, and the staff very pleasant providing excellent service. The music, provided by Monroe Crossing, was terrific(and lots of fun). This is a great venue to enjoy live music in a more intimate setting.

I had breakfast at the cafe twice within four days and both times the grits were absolutely incredible. They were part of my breakfast which included eggs, toast, and country bacon. The cheese grits were creamy with cheddar cheese. With each bite the cheese was stringy and gooey. For some reason I always ate the grits first - guess because... More

This is a MUST TRY, ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST. Oh my goodness, not even a sausage fan, but you must try theirs. Homemade there and was so good that I had it BOTH mornings. Such neat dishes, live entertainment as night and just a COOL BUILDING, make sure to visit upstairs!!!!

I stop in here every time I'm in Dahlonega for a fancy grilled cheese sandwich (not your ordinary grilled cheese!), sweet potato waffle fries, and a Terrapin Rye Ale. Those sweet potato waffle fries are amazing! I love the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service and hope to stay for the music one of these days.

We have eaten here before and decided to go back to a known place that is consistently good. The meatloaf sandwich, tarragon chicken salad and southwest wrap were all excellent. Sweet potato fries excellent. A small selection of draught beer, lots of bottled beer and a coffee bar in back. On Sunday an impromptu group convenes to play bluegrass which... More

We enjoyed listening to the music and liked the intimate performance venue. The food, however, was very disappointing. We had eaten there in years past and found the food to be average. This time, however, it was not. There was not enough flavor. I got the blackened grouper. The texture was too soft and wet. Next time we will eat... More
