Country cooking but it was pricey. There was something missing from our first visit many years ago. The charm was gone. But if you like cracker barrel type food and lots of it, you will enjoy the Smith House.

Both the food and service at The Smith House were outstanding! The meal was served Family Style and was shared with all seated at the table. What a fun opportunity to get to know other travelers and share experiences. I have never had many of the Southern specialities that were served but enjoyed everything!

We had heard so much about Smith's that we had to try it. We found the food to be very good for the most part, and you will not leave hungry. The fried chicken and beef and gravy were tasty. The salads and dessert were delicious. Shrimp, white gravy, and mashed potatoes were only adequate. The interesting history of the... More

The food and service here was excellent despite the sprawling size and high noise level created by the voices of large groups bouncing off of tile floors in several rooms all open to each other. Fried chicken, fried okra, mashed potatoes, green beans. ham, rolls, cornbread and more all are presented as you are seated with your group and served... More

Just had dinner at the Smith House today. Great variety of food brought to you table. Beef roast, fried chicken, ham, greens, mashed potatoes, cream corn, hot rolls and more. Finished off with cake and strawberries. All you can eat one price. Great place to take a group. Lots of great shops within walking distance. Live music today in the... More

If you've never tried family style dining, this is the place to go. Family style dining means they bring a large platter of each item out of the kitchen and everyone serves themselves . My husband, 5 year old daughter, mother in law and father-in-law joined me for lunch at this restaurant. It was loved by all. It was delicious.... More
