Food was good, great wait staff and great family dinning.

This is family style dinning. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fried okra, squash casserole, green beans, biscuits ... home cooking. This is a restaurant you'd want to go to with a family. Nothing romantic about this place. It can be very noisy. The wait staff is extremely polite, they are always... read more

This was our second stay at The Smith House. They have the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! I have had back surgery, and usually wake up in pain when we stay in a motel. NOT HERE! Best night's sleep in a long time. Super relaxing atmosphere. Only down side of the trip was that the restaurant is... More

First, the food was great if you like country cooking. The waitress kept bringing bowl after bowl of food until we were finished. I will not return however, because when I asked about all the leftover food, they just throw it away. There were only 4 of us, and they brought enough for 6 on the first go-around and kept... More

We went here several years ago and it was so good. The food was hot and the staff were very polite. This time around though it wasn't so good. The food did not have that fresh homemade taste to it. Some of the food was cold. And to top it off the waitress acted like it was an inconvenience to... More

We were worried that they wouldn't be able to seat us - we had 10 people, however, this place is on it. We were seated immediately, and within 10 minutes they had plates of food in front of us. It is a set menu so they just start serving. We had fried chicken, fish, shrimp. Roast, mashed potatoes and vegetables... More

The serving for 2 is easily enough for 3 or even 4 and they'll bring you more! It's *A LOT* of food and it's good, too. Try an off time for a short wait and fast service.

I vow not to set foot near this pathetic attempt at southern food ever again. I will also do what I can to keep anyone from eating at this trough. If you want proper southern fair...go to The Dillard House. Also, the fact that it's an all you can eat restaurant, and you are unable to take even a single... More

I am very sorry you did not have a pleasant visit with us. However it would be nice to speak in person about your experience with us. I have not spoken to a single person about a complaint on our food or our renovation of our house. Most of the general public is very proud of the looks of our... More

Have dined at the Smith House many times over many years, but dinner yesterday was a disappointment. There are a few old famous Southern-cooking restaurants within a couple of hours from Atlanta, but Smith House is the closest to us in Canton. However, the last two times I was here I was disappointed. The food is still good, but in... More
