Great Place

This brings back memories of my grandma taking me to the ice cream shop when I was a kid. They have the same atmosphere and great fresh dipped ice cream, everyone is very friendly...just a great overall experience.

There was a long line to get our ice cream, and the line stayed long as we sat and ate our ice cream. Clearly, a popular place. Flavors we tried were vanilla, chocolate, supercow (love that name) and butter pecan. All were very good. The vanilla tasted of vanilla bean - great flavor. Servers were friendly and efficient.

Have you ever been to a small town that has become a tourist trap and were disappointed? Dahlonega isn't like that. Connie's is a reason why. Good food served by genuinely nice people.

Stopped here for lunch and it was delicious! I had the Georgia peach chicken salad sandwich served with a cup of tomato basil soup and fresh fruit. The soup was very good and very hot! Nice since it was pretty chilly outside. The flavor was good and it had small chunks of tomato in it. The chicken salad was good... More

Love the sandwiches, soups and ice cream. Cute little restaurant with a local charm. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, so plan your trip accordingly!

My wife surprised me on our trip and took me to this ice cream parlor to get some ice cream! We both grabbed waffle cones, and I added an extra scoop to mine. The menu was well laid out and easy to understand. Since it is in downtown Dahlonega, we were able to enjoy our ice cream while walking around... More

I stopped in here twice in 4 days to get a hot fudge sundae. It's right on the square and really hard to walk past without getting something. They have dozens of flavors of ice cream.

Some friends and I stopped by for ice cream and loved it. It's a little small but it's cozy and they have lots to choose from.

Both times I have eaten here, we ordered sandwiches. I had a southwestern chicken sandwich, toasted, which proved to be huge and superior. Place is manned by college kids so don't expect more than average service. Reasonably priced and quick.

We visited Dahlonega over the Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed the lovely Town Square & ice cream from Connie's hit the spot on a very warm afternoon. There is not much seating area as the store is tiny. The line was long but the staff was friendly and efficient and it didn't take long to be served. Would love to... More
