Nothing better than an Irish Pub

The place was lively with live music, but not too loud you couldn't chat among friends. plenty of tables away from the band to get a good meal.

We recently took a bike ride to Dahlonega, GA to see the dogwoods in bloom. We always stop in at Shenanigans for an appetizer and a drink. We were surprised to find that they had renovated their pub - a lot more room inside, great outside dining, and new bar area with seating. We really enjoyed the live music by... More

I ate here with four other family members and I have to say I was very pleased with our meal. For our appetizer, we ordered a plate of their Irish Nachos and passed the platter around twice. It was a huge portion and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the Dublin stew and my husband had the Irish stew; both... More

Food was great! Flavorful, hot and took care of the appetite. Service was pretty slow, even for the middle of the week. Their build-your-own pizzas are great, as well as the shepards pie. Definitely stop by!

The four of us were on vacation in Ellijay and decided to drive over to Dahlonega for real Irish food lunch on St Patricks Day and we were not dissapointed. The atmosphere was very festive with a bagpiper out front & acoustic Irish music inside. The Irish accented waiter was prompt. I started with Lucky Lemonade and the rest of... More

We drove up to Dahlonega to eat at the Smith House, only to be disappointed that it was only open for lunch. However, the desk clerk at the Smith House Inn happily recommended Shenanigans, which was a short walk up the street. It is a smaller version of Mcguire's Pub in Destin, Florida with a little less atmosphere. But it... More

Last Saturday we went back to Shenanigans to enjoy some Irish pub food for St. Paddy's weekend. Once again we were not disappointed! The service and the food were stellar!!! Terrie was our server and we wanted for nothing!! Lyndsey Hinkle entertained us and it was another great little trip to Dahlonega. So happy to have this gem only 30... More

IT was a warm sunny spring day. We were glad to be out of the city. Stopped here for lunch. The menu looked wonderful. However, the plae as packed so we had to wait for a table. No problem. Understandable. But the seating area is small and has patio type tables with FOLDING CHAIRS. Not comfortable at all...not the comfortable... More

We planned to eat dinner at the upscale restaurant just off the square, but with a play tonight it was packed and the wait was almost an hour. We walked over to Shenanigan's instead, and we are so glad we did. I had bangers and mash and it was as close to authentic as I've ever had. My husband had... More
