BBQ Gone Upscale?

Recent health score 91. This is a small regional chain that seems to have successfully mated BBQ to the casual dining concept. This is full service BBQ with a full bar. It's also a higher price point than your customary "rustic" BBQ places. It has a nice menu but relatively few sides. The... read more

This place has some of the best mac & cheese anywhere. I have eaten the pulled pork barbecue three times and enjoyed it once. Twice it was way too grissly and fatty. The smoked chicken is really good. The thing I enjoy the most, don't laugh, is the amazing crushed ice. You have a glass of the good old Southern... More

The Huffington Post listed Jim 'N Nick's as one of the top ten so I have been wanting to try it out. We love brisket so my husband and I both ordered the smoked brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad. The brisket had the crusty sides showing it was smoked and was as lean as could be. You... Definitely should try the fried green tomatoes, then collard greens, but my favorite is the pimento cheese sandwhich

I recently visited the Jim n Nicks in cumming and the food was food ... Not great but good. The pulled pork was ok but the smoked links were very good! I agree with another poster that the food was a little pricey but all in all pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but... More

This is as good as it gets- delicious food reasonably priced- and consistent! The sides are the best-collards,beans ,salad with feta and those cheddar muffins. Then there is the best part- the meats. The ribs are extra meaty and the pulled pork and brisket are lean and mean.Just go.

I'm not a great meat lover, but I usually can find a great salad anywhere. Not here. They really do need to step up their salads!

A good BBQ joint should have excellent BBQ, great sauce and complimentary sides. If any of these are missing, the meal is a disappointment to a BBQ aficionado. We pride ourselves in excellent BBQ and have traveled far and near for good BBQ. Jim n' Nick's fits the bill. Excellent good, nice portions, great sides, excellent service.

I am very picky with my BBQ and Jim N Nicks is very good. The sides are also very good and they have a full bar.

Jim n Nicks is a little on the upside for a BBQ joint. The food is excellent. We had the Smoked Pork Hot Links for an appetizer and it was excellent. The homemade pimento cheese was the best I have ever eaten. I ordered the two-meat platter with two trimmings. I got the brisket and ribs. Neither portion was very... More
