Stooped here for dinner with my hubby. This was our first time in Old Towne Conyers, GA. This is a quirky town with lots to do. Ice skating, shopping, bars, restaurants and The originals is fimed here. Anyway, we went to the Whistle Post for dinner. The atmosphere is rustic tables, booths and the bar area is nice. The booths are... More

We have been to the Whistle Post Tavern before for a high school reunion luncheon and the food was good, so when we saw they were having a New Year's Eve party we decided to go. We were looking for something family friendly, because my 13 year old son was with us. Boy, were we shocked at the entertainment that... More

I love this place - I do - I just love it. Chris and his staff are the best and they will continually bend over backwards for you. The food is fabulous and piled high - just the way I like it. The beer is ice cold and excellently poured (I always get a Black & Tan) - just the... More

I have to admit, one of the things that annoy me is to wait. And I had to wait here. I waited 15 minutes for someone to ask me if I had been waited on. Once I placed the order, I had to wait for it to arrive. And after I finished my food and drink, I had to wait... More

I coordinate for our traveling soccer team and I try to find non chain places that has TVs for the games and Dads, reasonable that can accommodate 30+. Parents voted good choice. Reasonable prices and good local food. Cat fish, fried okra and pickles, and old fashion true tamales got best reviews. We were earlier in day which was perfect... More

This is a great restaurant/tavern , I went on a Thursday night with some local friends while working in the area and the food was great. The grouper sandwich was fresh and a huge portion and it came with a jalapeno tater sauce that was great. They also had some great Karaoke with some older people singing some great older... More

I've been here many times for lunch. They have a good menu selection and a good ambience as well. This lunch was a little different. My son wanted grilled fish and they didn't have it so he opted out for the less healthier, fried. I ordered a salad topped with fried chicken and got chicken salad on a bed of... More

We dropped in for lunch after stumbling upon it. Good atmosphere, cool space. Waitress was friendly but new and not properly trained--didn't know what veg of the day was (well after normal lunch hour) and when asked what vodkas they had, said, 'lots' and waved at the bar. Undercooked Angus burger, outstanding fried catfish, semi-soggy fries, great fried okra. The... More

Previous reviews stated food here is a bit pricey for bar food. This is a fair statement but food here is much more than standard bar food. I like the fish sandwich and chopped steak. Meals are always hot and served in generous portions. I've yet to try the deserts because I'm always too full!

The food is very good and reasonably priced. The menu is a little large, so its hard to decide what to eat, but I've never had anything bad there. The crab benedict at brunch is very good (seafood in Conyers is always a gamble...). The late-night crowd is a little rough. Very loud music, lots of grinding/trashy dancing happening... haha....
